Brake Question - Pulsating @ 41k Miles

Mmmm.... freshly arrived yesterday and they look so nice!  I ordered from a 3rd party on Amazon and they came from EBC themselves.  Saved a TON of cash going this route.

those look beautiful!!! I have the same set, took almost 50 days for the backs to arrive due to the rear set pad was on back order from the UK. I'll be installing mine sunday from the looks of things! GOOD LUCK!

Those look like some heavy duty rotors dude, make sure to follow the bedding procedure so they break in gradually for first couple of hunded miles and good luck.

I think I saw a procedure in/on the packaging, but I did also see another thread here that gave the rundown.  I'm definitely going to be careful with breaking these in and I might have to take side roads to work in effort to A. Use them more, and B. Not have to stop from 70MPH when I hit heavy traffic.

ZSHO is correct. Follow the bedding process to the T.
Also there will be ALOT of break dust until the break in coating wears off.

Yay, dust!  I am glad that I waxed my wheels recently to make cleaning a piece of cake.  If you're wondering, I waxed them only because I had (yes had) to get them powder coated.

Holy moly!  50 days!?  Mine took a week!  I'll be installing mine on Saturday if time permits.  I already picked up the tools from Advance Auto because I want to get these done.  I guess the whole break-in procedure and not wanting to hop on the highway just yet, means I have to drive my car more this weekend.  Oh shucks!

Mighty purrrrrdy!  I think peppe got the production line started for you ;)

LOL!  Wouldn't that be funny??  Thank you Peppe!!

I can almost guarantee it is.... SHO-TYM ordered his set like 2 days before i did. I ordered mine.... SURPRISE!!!!! Back Pads are on back order....Go figure!

GOOD LUCK!!!! I'll be getting mine installed Sunday Morning, hang over permitting due to a friend getting married Saturday night...

I'm hoping to have mine broken in within a week. I already drive about 200 miles a week for my commute to/from work. Whats another 50-250 miles in a week? psh!!!! haha.

Well, I got mine all installed and so far so good.  I'll get 200 miles in this week as well.  I'm actually going to go do a little driving now just to get a feel for 'em.  Everything went very well with the install and no hiccups.

All this and no pix :(  Well, hope your break-in goes very smoothly!

LOL!  Yeah!  The sun was just starting to set by the time I finished cleaning up.  If the weather cooperates tomorrow, I'll try to snap a couple in the sun.  I did drive on 'em about 30 miles tonight and they're a night and day difference!  I'm glad the pulsating is gone!  That was driving me absolutely nuts!  I gotta say, the stock crap that was on there was in really good shape and had a lot of life left.  Makes me wonder if the brakes were serviced before I bought my car or if they were originals.  I did buy my car with 23k on it, so who knows.

I had zero energy to do anything yesterday, so I didn't snap anything... but this morning I did.  Behold my dirty SHO with brand new EBC brakes!  I did snap a picture right after installing them, and didn't think it turned out (thought it was too dark), but it isn't bad.

I've got about 55 miles on them now and I can't get over how much better they are than stock... plus no more pulsating!  :dude:

Yep, center cap is missing thanks to Goodyear breaking two of them.  I'll be replacing that soon enough.

I don't think I'll go with a Yamaha one, but that's funny.  I'd love to get an SHO cap, though.  In the end, I know I'll be picking up some used Ford ones on eBay.

Looks great, did you ever get a chance to paint the calipers?

Unfortunately not.  I'll be looking to do that in spring when I have more time, and a higher temperature, though.  It was only about 50 degrees out when I did my brakes.
