Went out to the garage last night around 8:00 for my weekly firearm cleaning and spotted this on the passenger door;

Estimate came in at $762. Actually less than I thought. Most of it can be buffed out. About a foot worth got down to the metal. I have no doubt some asshole keyed it. It starts light, gets deeper, down to the metal, and is light across the whole rear door. So that just blew up my nurburgring fund!

😬 😡 😭 👎

Hate to see this kind of thing.... Doesn't make it better, but I have seen the same thing from a drunk dragging a purse between cars.... Or on my son's MKS from the same thing but it was rivets on Levi's in his case.

Hope it works out for you.... No help from your insurance?

The scratch sucks, but do you see the micro-scratching in those pics?  Is that over the whole car?

If so, we need to get you a polisher and some time, stat.

Well let's see what it looks like after it is fixed, curious.

Wow, feel your pain, Brad!  There is no call for that at all, but so many people are just plain careless with other people's cars these days!

I know it could be anything, but it's so deep it had to take a decent amount of pressure. Which is why I think it was intentional.  As far as insurance, the estimate is $762, and my deductible is $500. I already have one claim against me so I'm probably better off forking out the remaining $262.

There are some scuffs and imperfections here and there. Exterior detail is next on my to do list.
