Car Died

Here's the story:
I was on driving to vacation a little over a month ago and all of a sudden the car shut off (car had been tuned at this point for about 5 weeks). Entire dash went black, Still had power steering and brakes, no accleration, wife did say the navigation stayed on though (cant confirm as I was not worried about the navigation at that point). Pulled over to the side of the road, put the car in park and let it sit. After about 5 mins, the car fired right back up with no problems, No codes, ill effects, anything. Has not happened before or since. (took the tune off to be safe) Has anyone else had this happen or seen this before?

Please add your signature with your current vehicle and any mods you may have below and how many miles do you have on your vehicle?......have seen this happen many times especially driving through heavy rain. LMK.  Z

Check to see if codes were set.  Since the recall thing is hot news, it could point to a Fuel Pump Control Module.  That aside, it could be an entirely electronic issue, such as a poor ground, or simply an error recover mode.  Doesn't sound like a faulty throttle body, which has been a cause of lost power sometimes, on other model lines.

Did you have anything plugged into the OBD port at the time?

Car is a 2014 SHO non-pp with 48,000 miles with NGK gapped plugs, 3-bar and tstat and Torrie's 93 tune. At the time it was about 90 degrees and clear skies on a slight decline. Fuel pump went last year on the way home from vacation. I had the tuner with me but not plugged in.
