Corsa does not have an  X pipe  ...

Look again; very top of image--that is an X-pipe. I visually inspected it and it is two pipes welded together in place of muffler or whatever use to be there.

HA "crash" take a look at geswek and my 12.5 and 12.6 time sheets. Steve try to teach me the why but I still don't get it. why do I have so fast times but so slow trip speeds. And why my car is faster in the 1/8mi but slower in the 1/4mi than geswek on the two runs?

You're losing top end; I keep pulling past 60mph. That is why I'm faster.

Also; that claim is a little bias--because if I recall you had stock wheels and those are lighter than the Flower Power wheels on the 13's. Don't you have Eibach's? Wheels and suspension affect times--regardless of what people say.

Either way; for what we have--those are insane times when I'm seeing 5.0 Mustangs running a whole second slower than me and weigh less than I.

Original post is updated with video my friend took of both 12.5 runs.

IF IM WRONG  I'll eat MY SHOES ...

I will look closer at mine when I get back home . I dont beleve there is any internal tubing connection , they are just welded together to eliminate vibration .

I'm pretty damn sure that's an x-pipe. If it isn't I'm going to be pissed off and I'll have it cut and one put in but from what I saw outside; it sure looks like one.

I'll call Corsa Monday and ask.

I just looked at instructions; they say it's an XO pipe--again I'm fairly certain that's an x-pipe.

If geswek's gonna cal... that will be the answer... please no ingestion of clothing... LOL

If you DL the installation instructions from Corsa, they do call the area where the pipes are joined an X-pipe... I think they hold a patent on that design of one.

Any body know what is the best seasoning  for Merrells .... LOL

I Stand corrected .... below is from Corsa's Website :

What is a Cross-Over Pipe and what does it do?

An XO-crossover pipe allows the exhaust flow from both banks of the engine to mix and balance out which creates improved flow characteristics and a more pleasing exhaust note. It can also help reduce some of the trailing throttle burble characteristic of certain engines. In some cases, the blending of the exhaust can help accelerate the exhaust gases enough to improve the scavenging of the combustion chamber and free up a few extra HP.

What is the difference between and XO-Crossover pipe and an H-Pipe?

An XO-crossover pipe brings the two exhaust pipes together in an "X" shape so there is true cross-over between the pipes. An H-pipe keeps the flow paths separate and simply tries to balance the exhaust gas pressure and flow; these are often referred to as 'balance tubes.' CORSA's crossover pipes are designed to reduce turbulence and blend the air to create the most performance and perfect CORSA sound.

At that time I had just LMS 4+ TUNE AND AirAid CAI But my car is a PP option. And it weight only 4165lb at the track with out me (NO OPTION BUT 12S PP ). Even now I don't have the Eibach's

I can understand why you would want to remove the resonator but why would you use an x  pipe instead of 2 straight pieces of pipe ?
It looks to me that this is taking  the exhaust from each downpipe and merging it  in the cross section  causing at least some turbulence and restriction before splitting again into the rear dual exhaust .
The  Corsa  does not do this and has no x pipe.... its straight through .  prepare for shoe consumption!!
I took a photo today of my corsa kit not on the car yet there is a diamond shaped whole approx 31/2" by 2" tall.  Corsa is an x pipe.  I guess the x pipe set up if you delete the resonator and just weld in mufflers is a good low cost option.

That is Corsa X pipe design, they hold a patent on it. Called the XO pipe.

The whole purpose is to equalize pressure and scavenging.

Sent from my mobile, I think.

Didn't you have dynomax exhaust too shoman?

Yeah, I don't know what effect it would have if it was straight. Thanks for photo man. At least those who question will know it is an X pipe. Just a different kind, haha.

Lol, I did the same as a lot of the other guys, I couldn't swing buying the corsa so I deleted the resonator and had a high flow muffler kit with dumps until recently.  Ive had great luck with the x mid pipes on past mustangs and an 03 cobra I use to have.
