Code C0062

The other day noticed my car running a bit rough and thought it was probably some bad gas or something but after checking with Torque pro there was code C0062 i believe is a Longitudinal acceleration sensor and usually any codes starting with a C are brake/ABS related and cleared the codes and will have to monitor how quickly it returns....anyone ever have this code sho up? thanks.  Z

Pointing to an issue with the RCM (Restraints Control Module), though not sure why it'd make the car run rough.

--------------------

Normal Operation and Fault Conditions
The RCM measures vehicle yaw rate, lateral acceleration and longitudinal acceleration, then sends the information to the ABS module over a private HS-CAN . This private HS-CAN is used only for communication between the RCM and the ABS module. The yaw rate sensor, lateral and longitudinal accelerometers are contained in the RCM .

A circuit fault such as a short or an open disrupts communication between the modules and the ABS module sets a DTC. An incorrectly installed RCM sends invalid information to the ABS module, which sets a DTC.

Probably just an electrical connector that needs cleaning ...

Hhmn thats strange....z i know how well you maintain your car, does it drive you insane when you have dtc?

Side note...z what did you ran when you raced last week?

SHOdded many thanks for the reply and might have to take her in to the dealer soon.  Z                                                                                            AJP the SHO is my DD and can feel something is not right and only got one pass in and called it a day, nothing to boast here.  Z

Does it feel anything like a steering or wheel hub issue Z?  Does the engine run smooth when the car is in P/N/not moving?

I suspected that because had the hubs and thrust washers replaced 3 times and there still ticking with no permanent fix in the horizon followed by codes C1B00 for the last couple of years .IDK. Z

Should look to see if SKF makes products for the Taurus/SHO.  I hear they are the best quality mfr around ... hmmm ...

BR930916 for the SHO front wheel bearing/hub kit
BR930742 for the rear (unspecified trim level)
