Concept car with colored plastidip

Hey guys!
Here are a few pics of the progress and the almost final result...
Only thing missing is to black out the chrome next week.
The result is amazing!!!
I will soon also black out the tail lights and install the head light covers (lamin-x).
I will convert the head lights to HID soon too.
So here are a few pics of the evolution.
Next week the final results. Tell me what you think!

Now with the parts back in their place but still the chrome to be blacked out next week to allow the red to sit in completely:

At night under lamp posts:

The copper shines when no day light:

A bit more red at the gas station:

It's gonna be a mean machine with no chrome, tinted headlights and HIDs!:

Finally but not least, I was driving my car back home from the garage and saw a friend on the highway just before going in the tunnel. Since she wasn't driving, I asked her to take a picture of the car in movement, it looks like a professional shoot!
What d'ya think?

Thanks!

Looks stellar!  :thumb:  Love the color scheme.  Daylight pics?
Thanks!
The only daylight pic I posted is the first one on post #63.
When the car will be completed, I will post more pics and will take them with a better camera than an iphone...

Standout results, Steve!  The in-progress pics are amazing in their own right, like sketches on a canvas.

Q 4 U, Steve.  With the baking process, I assume the look will still be "matte"?  Can you glossify it if desired with wax or sealant?  How long with the PD last this way, and what would you need to do when it was time to take it off/change it out?  TIA.

Hi!
The baking process is, from what I understood, to give a smoother finish. The color is unchanged. I watched a lot of videos on youtube with Fonzie from dipyourcar.com and I believe you can add a clear on it etc. But, since I was not going that route, I didn't ask directly my guy. I will PM you his coordinates and he has contacts in the States as well that he can refer you to (in Philadelphia and Texas I believe).

Very Nice!  The only thing I would have done differently would be the front end.  I would have done the bumper between the grills and the risers between the headlights and grill.

I tried it with photoshop and by far this one was the winner. Keep in mind it is not yet completed... When the head lights will be tinted, the HID lights converted and the chrome blacked out, this was the look of the mean machine/European class car that I was looking for...
But thanks for your comment!
