Curbed my 20" MKS wheel

About made me sick, but stuff happens I guess. I will need to build it up a bit with some epoxy putty and then sand it down. Its not horrible but I will see it every time I walk up to the car if I don't fix it. Question I have is how to color match these wheels. They aren't true chrome but they aren't the typical silver either. Some kind of chrome paint with clear over it? Anyone know what would be best to use? I will of course clear coat and buff in whatever I put on there.

Thanks,
Scott

If you are picky OCD my suggestion would be to find another wheel. I was going to do that for my PP wheels but when I saw the cost it was cheaper for me to just get some sexy aftermarket ones.

There is a local place that can do it for $140. Not cheap but from the reviews they know what they are doing. I might swing by there and see what they think about it.

Yeah I made an appointment to have it fixed. As expected its basically polished aluminium with clear coat over it so they can't add, only remove polish and blend, then re-clear it. They said it will look perfect and they have a good reputation so I will leave it to the pros. Its something I could no doubt handle but with projects stacking up at home and a new baby I am not going to bother trying it myself.

Eh, you'll curb them again.  Don't waste money.  Paint it and fix it the cheapest possible way.

It's a Lincoln anyways, their owners drive by sound!  lol I keed.  I think that's Cadillac, at least my grandma's old one.

Yeah its my old man ride LOL. Pissed me off, I have never curbed a wheel, this thing is much larger than any car I have owned and I was in day dream mode while parking. Anyways it will be fixed tomorrow. I already ordered come curb feelers off Amazon ;)

It happens to the best of us,especially when our minds are in overdrive mode with tons of thoughts, its a good wakeup call,no dis intended.  Z

I'm sure that's how they did mine, but just the one spot. I didn't even think about the flap disk duh. Turned out perfect by the way. I literally could not find the spot the worked on until I notice the rub on the tire. Even then you could hardly feel the work and not see it at all. Worth the cash.
