i will see if i can get my 3" pipe all the way down to the rear turbo
No air box yet. I will update after i make it.

Ask me any questions.

Of course you had to post this a few hours after I buy a K&N!
:nuclear: :pokey:

Eager to hear how it works for you.

So i bought a  trash can($10) and im just waiting on my holesaw (17)

The stock air guide is going to go right into the trash can. i already took it off the stock air box(just 2 tabs)

After i install my Meth kit (controller is going in the engine bay  using a small plastic box to protect it from heat. Tank and pump going on driver's side ) im going to see if i can make an air guide like bpd's

Oh you might have enough piping for 2 intakes if you cut it precisely.

How much heat can a plastic trash can take before it deforms ?
Pretty sure those things are molded at fairly low temp, <200°
Under hood temps in the summer could exceed that pretty quickly.

I will be using heat tape on the outside of it. i mean if it doesnt work i can always us it as a guide for aluminum or some T304 stainless.

Edit: it made out of polypropylene which has a melting point of 350F

So I got an idea on one of those sleepless nights where your mind goes over 100mph.

Would anyone be interested on dual intake using 2" piping and the stock air box? (All you have to do is drill a 2" or a 3" hole, I haven't decided. I will provide a template and the whole saw bit)

I would be able to sell these instead of my own 3" intake kit due to the ease of making them. Please leave any thought or suggestions.

So I attempted to make my airbox for my 3" intake and accidentally stabbed my self in the forearm. Also it looks shitty.

So I have already started designing the dual 2" intake using the stock air box.

The bold squares are my limits for the hole saw pilot drill bit

I can actually sell this for $250 without powder coating or welding. If you want the works it's probably going to be $450 (powder coated+welded pipes+welded fittings)

I am sure some will be interested, mods on these cars are like crack.  The question though would be what factory tubing is being replaced and what is the $ for the kit...  The 1st set of pictures looked like you had tubing from filter to the rear turbo done.  The front I assuming you were routing straight up to the air filter..?

I know from looking at the factory tubing after my K&N intake that it could be improved greatly with regard of airflow since it is kinked and not round in many places.

If I have it right I like where you are going with it, keep us posted for sure!

Yes, the front Turbo is going straight into the filter.

Using the stock air box it looks like I can infact use 3" tubing instead of 2" that I was planning to use

definitely looks like a good setup! i'd be interested potentially if price stays at $250. before and after dyno results may be a deciding factor

Yeah buddy, all I need now is a 3" to 3.5" coupler and it's all done
Best part is all i needed to do was change 1 pipe from the front turbo
Everything would have fit a lot better if i had used 2" or 2.5" piping
