Decisions??

Gents,
With all of my transmission issues that almost has me hating this car, I had stated that I would get rid of car. BUT, the still runs fine. I don't trust transmission as I have had to take it back for leaks and vibrations. But all that seemingly repaired. My dilemna, I am having trouble justifying the expense of a new car. I know the car I want. Priced it at a fair price. AWESOME performance. But Im too cheap to fork over the money right now. So for now, y'all may be stuck with me another year. When CTS price drops another $5-10k at beginning of year, then I may move on it. But still, darn!

Well, not a bad thing the SHO is behaving itself then.  Keep it under constant threat, that seems to do the trick!

I am keeping the sho, but on my list is the 16' . I hope by next summer I can land one at a good deal, for as long as I sell my gto.

I looked at a used CTS-V or a new SS.  It really came down to buying new and have the warranty, and Chevy was not making it easy to by the SS when it first came out.  The local Chevy dealership turned me off from buying from them fast.

That said, hopefully you're transmission issues are not only resolved for your sake, but also ours.  It seems like two critical components lacking in aftermarket support are fueling and drive train.  Fuel has been 'solved' with meth and ecopowerparts fuel upgrade.  I would think that in order for this platform to progress from big number power, to large number power; trans and PTU upgrades have to come at some point.

I was actually saving up to buy the CTS before I stumbled into the SHO. The SHO wasn't supposed to be. I want the CTS-sport, but the CTS -V is calling me too!

Just get the v, otherwise in the future you will always think why you didn't spend that extra to get the top of the line.

I was saving for an m5, and sho came along. It's amazing how that works. Kind of did me a favor, because now I have an awd for winter. But I guess the the moral of the story is; something better always comes along and it find itself on the top of the list.

I test drove a non V CTS with the GTDI engine earlier this year.  It drove pretty well, so I can only imagine how much better the V would be!

The CTS-V is an animal. I probably would not be able to use it like it was and is intended. Lots of full throttle runs for long periods. The V-sport is a smaller SHO with no AWD. And the aftermarket tune alone takes to car to 500 hp, tare weight under 4000 lbs, rwd, blah blah blah! And can smoke the tires with the best of em.

BUT THE V! I would love to have it. But only the 2016. SO no way I could justify that $90k. The lease returns haven't started coming back yet. Im already having trouble justifying $35k for the V-sport! lol
