Diablo sport tuner

Is anyone familiar with the Diablo sport handheld tuner part #1-1000? It's on sale on their website for $339 with free shipping. It comes with three tunes.  Thank you to all that replied. I'm new to ecoboost I'm old school carbs and cams. I'm going to go with Unleashed. Torre sounds like a great guy who knows his stuff. No since skimping a few bucks after spending $48k on a car. When it comes to performance parts you get what you pay for!

No way, don't do it.  Pay $400 to Torrie at Unleashed and get unlimited custom tunes.  Or $500 to LMS and unlimited tune adjustments.

99.9% of the tuned SHOs are running these two tunes.

Yeah, this sounds like a horrible idea.

Either vendor, Unleashed or Livernois, will get you proven tunes, SAFELY.

These are not easy cars to tune and if you pop a motor it will be one helluva expensive mistake.

Both LME and Torrie have reputable reputation on well engineered tunes with the customer in mind, and not to pass the vehicles limitations.

agree 100%, have it for my chally. diablo is good for mopar but for eco's it's either lme or torrie & actually the trinity is the model to compare as the trinity is the model they are now pushing.

Had a Diablo on my 07 Escalade. It was alright for a mail order tune.  No way as effective or good as LME or Unleashed.  No way I would trust my Ecoboost to a Diablo.

Thanks for all the help! You guy's are the best. I think I'm going with Unleashed Torrid sounds like a great guy who knows his economist. P. S. I retired from Chicago assembly plant home of the Taurus SHO. I assembled millions of Taurus and several other Fomoco cars since 1976. Hope you all enjoy your car's as much as I enjoyed assembling them.
Congrats on a job well done, now you can really spend some time on your personal car, wise choice you made there cause both are reputable tuning companies which take pride and joy like yourself establishing fine workmanship.

Thank you Mr. ZSHO that means a lot to me and my wife, she also worked at  Chicago Assembly Plant for 16 years.  It takes a lot of really hard physical labor to build our beloved Taurus SHO's. I worked in body, paint, trim, and chassis departments, so I know these cars inside and out. I always did my job 110% hoping the owner was going to take good care of their car.(I built 'em like I was going to buy 'em.) Thank you for your support and for buying a Ford Taurus SHO

Another thing I just thought about with using Diablo. Do they support multiple tunes.  If all you wanted was a tune it would be fine.

But with unleashed and lms both support lower t stat, meth injectIon, down pipes, the bigger turbos, 3 bar map sensor and other items as they become available to us.

So I would say you made the better choice if you plan on doing more than a tune to your new ride.

And if you want a little taste of the improvement the tune does. Try adding a 3 gallons of e 85 to your tank of premium fuel.  It wakes the car up.

Will be 3rd week in july, 19th-24th. if you got some pull get with bpd, he's the one trying to make it happen. go to home on this forum & you'll see bpd1151 note about the convention. he's the one trying to make it happen. he's got a lot of pull being a leo in chi-town area. but with your inside track could grease the skids. even if don't get to do that, you should plan to coming. should be a blast, besides getting to see bpd's monster 600 whp sho.

PLEASE help me, I purchased a Diablo sport 1-1000 intune tuner and I am considering spending it back for a refund. It will cost me $20 to return. I paid $311. If I return it I'm going with Unleashed. I don't want anything radical, I have installed a K/N acai and that's all I'm going to do to my car.  What should I do Diablo or Unleashed? Thank you for your help.

If I were you I'd return it.

Using a tuner that is well known for our engines is priceless imo.

Return it a.s.a.p.,to me honestly nothing is more important than having that reassurance, especially when choosing the right tuning company, just think of it this way,a tuner controls many aspects on your car,so why not go with one that has a reputable background especially on the E.B platform.

^^^ x3

x4, they specialize in gm & mopar not turbo boosted cars like lme & torrie do, both more $$ but worth it in peace of mind in a tune. mine is untuned at the moment as soon as i can run out my 89 & run some 93 through her will be going lme.

Yea I would send it back. The only tuner I would attempt to use outside of the two vendors mentioned is HP Tuners. That is not proven on the EB platform yet, but is promising.
