Does less, equal more?

Personally I don't like "stickers" on any car. Unless of course you are getting paid or getting free stuff from the companies whose logos are on your car. That being said; I think you have done a good job with the decals on your car. It's so easy to make a car look uber stupid with a bunch of decals. But you have a nice balance and your SHO looks good.

I prefer zero decals and zero badges (if they can be removed). Less is definitely more. I think the car would look 10x cleaner without the trunk emblems. My trunk emblems were peeled off right after I pulled it in the driveway on the way home from buying it.

So, was a little bored today, and with the next 7 days or so, calling for nothing but sunshine and cold temps here in Chicagoland, I decided while washing up the SHO in the garage, to remove all of those freak'n decals off from the entire rear windshield.

What does the community think? Does less equal more in this case?

Thanks in advance for any comments to the above stated question. :thankyou:

What rims and size are you running?  They look good.

They are the TSW Nurburgring's. Staggered set.

20x8.5's up front (wrapped in Conti DSW 255/ 45 ZR 20)
20x10's in the rear (wrapped in Conti DSW 275 / 40 ZR 20).

Where did you order them from.  I see discounttire has the 20X8.5's but not the 10's.  40 offset?

Yes they are 40mm offset.

I ordered my set through a friend who is a Manager at a local, NTB (Nat'l Tire & Battery).

He price matched what I sourced on the internet.

Thanks for the info.  The wheels are about $352 each on discount tire. Your opinion is that a good price?

If I recall correctly, that sounds about right. At least as far as the average.

I paid less than that, but that was because I obtained a discount through a friend.

I would take all the stickers off and do a dripping in white scheme with grill , vents, and wheels, and lower cladding. Keeping the top black. It would look kinda like the 1988 Corvette Anniversary Edition paint scheme. I think you are headed into the right direction.

Reminds me, as I forgot to respond to other similar suggestions.

Ummmm..... (politely)..... NO.

Removal of the stuff on the rear windshield was the extent of my efforts.

No other intentions of changing anything else, to anything else.

Including any changing of colors, or eliminating the current two tone theme in exchange for a solid anything.

Too plain jane for my tastes.

Gotta throw in my 2 cents....I like the look with the decal out of the window...normally I don't mind decals, but I really think it did improve the overall appearance of the rear of your car.

I agree with you bpd... To many aesthetic mods at one time not a good idea. Your car stands out because of a well done 2-tone color scheme  :thumb: , which also adds that "Not in my house you don't" look.  :BlackEyeBanana:

on my G35x (AWD) running staggered wheels was a big no no becasue it screws up the AWD system over time. Any conern for that on a SHO ?

I don't "live my life a 1/4 mile at a time" lol but I do love your power mods and wheel / stance appearance otherwise I prefer a stock / clean appearance.

so to me yes less is more ....simple and sexy.
