shop called. apparently the x pipe is not going in today. they cut the pipe in front of the cat, and it's apparently 2", not 2.25". I bought a 2.5" x pipe, and it's way to big. maybe I will be happy with just the down pipes anyways.
How you liking the new down pipes? How louder are they at idle and while driving, compared to stock? I'm assuming you have the catless pipes, correct? Tell me your first impression.
Forgive me if I missed something here. But if you remove the 3rd cat/resonator then you do indeed need or should have an X-pipe. The X-pipe and resonator is to balance back pressures on the engine along with toning down drone affects.
As I recall, my 2.25" oem exhaust was mated with a 2.5" X-pipe no problem. Muffler shop just needs to have some skills welding.

I didn't notice any sound increase. I didn't have the work done at an exhaust shop, just a garage I deal with on a daily basis at work. def going to order another x pipe, it's too quiet.
