Which brings to mind another thought.  If the OEM fasteners are not stainless steel, might be worth it to source equivalent SS fasteners to secure the future.  Really handy in the Gen 1/2 SHO exhaust systems!

Great idea!.. then only natural electrolysis to deal with!

The heat 'shield' that Ford uses won't really trap much appreciable moisture IMO, the thermal 'wraps' on the other hand do. My bro wrapped his entire header on his early 2000's Yamaha YZF 1000. ...it actually made his bike faster. Thermal coatings BEFORE the turbo (exhaust manifolds) on a turbocharged application will also make more power and spool the turbo sooner by delivering more heat energy to the tubine side of the turbo.  BTW, the exhaust headers on my Bro's Yamaha rusted thru a bunch of pinholes within 2 years and he had to replace the entire exhaust.  :icon_cry:

Right on!  Why my hotpipes air thermal coated too... and why I want a CAI drawing from external air source (not under hood). Likely I'll get the CAI tubes/box thermal coated after development and think a closed box to hold high flow filters may be better and prevent reliance on a rubber seal against the hood.  The increased pressure from the turbo boost will elevate intake air temps a little in the hot just due to compression (more with increased boost) and engine heat/friction, but I want to control heat saturation as much as possible without making it look like a NASA satellite covered with foil in prep.

I just wish people would stop referring to their downpipes at "DP's", if you know what I am saying....

I'm the same way with the bean bag game "corn hole"!  Someone asked me if I wanted to play corn hole.  My response? HELL NO!  :suicide:
