The heat 'shield' that Ford uses won't really trap much appreciable moisture IMO, the thermal 'wraps' on the other hand do. My bro wrapped his entire header on his early 2000's Yamaha YZF 1000. ...it actually made his bike faster. Thermal coatings BEFORE the turbo (exhaust manifolds) on a turbocharged application will also make more power and spool the turbo sooner by delivering more heat energy to the tubine side of the turbo. BTW, the exhaust headers on my Bro's Yamaha rusted thru a bunch of pinholes within 2 years and he had to replace the entire exhaust. :icon_cry:
