Ecoboost drag racing videos!

Friday Night Drags at Texas Motor Speedway, they set up to drag race on pit row no tree no times just heads up racing. Unfortunately the SHO is put into the supercar class with gt500's ctsv's a Gt-R, Lingenfelter Camaro ZL-1 and a bunch of vipers. Figured I was gonna get knocked out pretty quick but lucky me due to the pavement being slick the AWD payed off and got me at least 1 win. *Forgot to mention, car I'm racing in the video is an 08 gt500, think he was stock or just had a pulley.

Second Round I lost by a bumper length to a highly modified 03 mustang cobra.

In that class, it's fantastic you made it to round two.  Good job!

Went again last night,

Made it into Round 3,

Was placed against Lingenfelter Camaro ZL-1 first round, I jumped him hard but lost by about a car and a half, paid my 10 rebuy, round 2 blew the doors off a modded z06, and round 3 i lost by about 3/4 a car length to a CTSV,

Vids to be uploaded soon as I get them from the camera guy. In the mean time I added the loss to the 03 cobra from last week to that post go watch  ;D

If we could put $11,000 into engine upgrades for the SHO, might be a just a teensy bit closer to the ZL1 at the track.  TMV for a 2012 ZL1 is $42,000 according to Edmunds.

I won't be able to make Baytown this week but I'll be getting my goodies from Torrie on Monday and will be down to  go next weekend most likely! Also speaking of that. When you guys do drag race do you paddle shift? Keep it in drive? What are some tips?

Traction control all the way off. Shifter in sport. Launch at 2k. No paddle shifting. That's just me but there are other threads with people who have more experience that explain everything.
