Engine on eBay

Car-part.com has them for half that and they'll ship the motor

Good luck with the turbos!  Hopefully they will know left from right, as that is a problem 4DR Mike ran into when starting up his turbo mod quest.

Sure would be nice to have a spare engine to be able to build with new internals, balancing, new turbo's...all ready to drop in after you build it just like you'd like it without losing use of the car while working on the new engine.

I plan on doing it this fall

I dunno. I know a fiero swap would be cheap. 2000$ for car, about 3500 $ for engine... then could probably get away with 1000$ for a trans out of a g6 gt. ( older model of trans with same code designed jointly by gm/fmc) I am assuming sam3 bolt pattern based on this information. I guess you could theroatically revers3 the awd system to have the front tires take 150 ft lbs of torque.

What !! A ford motor in a Pontiac ?? Kidding. Altho my boss has a 36 Ford with a BUILT Grand national motor. car is nicknamed Buford

How about I drop a 3.5 EB into my Sable :P I think it would fit! AWD swap at the same time? I have room for the driveshaft!

Nahh... I want my next car to be an MKS EcoBoost though. Big spender I'll have to be...

My friend told me we should swap my motor into an older FWD car and modify the tunnel for AWD, since we've ran the low 12's in a 5K pound car that would be a 10 second 3K pound car. :)

Looks like the crappy 6 speed manual from the mustang will bolt up - the getrag 82 whatever.

I wonder how hard would it be to transplant something like this? Simple as having someone tuning it?

There's no stand alone that will run DI injectors....
Factory ECU will throw a major fit about all the missing parts of the CAN bus.

So... a crate engine is not possible yet. How many different CAN bus's would I be missing if I transplanted from a F-150?

I guess I'd have to wait until Ford Racing releases the controller.
