Fluid extractors

What are you guys using?  I was hoping one that extracts and pushes fluid in. I'm in the market for one to do the PTU, RDU, transmission, etc. I see Amazon has the Mityvac 7400 as a high rated pump. Although a lot of folks complain that synthetic fluids mess up the seals.

Synthetic fluids do not mess up seals or cause leaks...even in old cars
Im sick of hearing old timers say that...if there is a mechanical problem there is a problem

I would agree. I wouldn't think it would matter what fluid you used. Maybe something besides oil might damage the seals. But not oil!!!!

I've got a mityvac 7400 and it's got plenty of sucking power for that ptu.  I used it for the RDU as well.  Works great - no complaints.

For the transmission, you're going to want to just pull the drain plug.  You'll get a lot more fluid out that way than sucking it through the dipstick.

Most neighborhoods have a place on the corner where u can get good fliud extractors with good suction but most of them have bad seals and leak smelly oil

I bought the MV 7400. Seemed very over kill for the ptu, but at the same time I wanted one I could keep and use for a lot of reasons. Worked great.

The Air power America 5060 Topsider looks like a good option. Anyone use this one?  Not sure if could us this to do your brakes.

I have used it a couple of times and really provides good overall suction, you have to pump it for about 20-30 times then release the clip. I converted a 10 Lbs fire extinguisher into a fluid extractor. Use an A/C vacuum pump to make vacuum in it. Super strong suction, great for thick gear oil. The top/handle screws off and its easy to pour everything out.

So the vacuuming pump goes on the brass compression fitting where you would normally pressurize it? And the suction is on the discharge hose side?
you got it, the whole neck unscrews to pour out contents.
