Focus RS coming to the US? New AWD system?

I've seen a few articles about it. I hope it's not going to be a super limited run. I'll buy one if are easy to get like the ST.

I don't think there is going to be a high demand for a roughly 40K AWD Focus...thus the limited numbers. As long as they don't put Dealer markups on them, the pricing should be Fair and it should be fairly easy to get one if you order it.

Been down this road before with Ford.  I wouldn't count on it.  Others that come to mind.....Gen 3 Lightning, and Explorer Sport Trac Adrenalin.

And both those products where going to come out when gas prices skyrocketed and SUV interest was waning. Plus we got the Raptor and Explorer Sport instead.

Excuse about the Gen3 was the powered required in the newer gen F150 to overcome the weight.  Now that we are seeing an aluminum 15 truck a Gen3 should be a no brainer.  Ford did come out with a body/wheel packaged Adrenalin.  People bought all of them, and prices have remained insane.  I looked at one last week, 08 Adrenalin V6 $24K.  You can buy used GT500's for not much more.

Raptor is pointless.  It's for those that want a $60K pickup.  It's not a sport truck, or that capable as a 4x4.  If you live in an area where there are sand dunes and you can do 60 off road, then it's your ticket.  All I know Dodge is selling a **** load of Ram 1500 Hemi RCSB's.

Really? Your comparing an Explorer to a GT500? Regular non-sport track Explorers go for the same price as an Adrenalin so your price is pointless...used cars are much more expensive these days since cash for klunkers since there isn't a glut of them on the market.

Its not pointless to Ford, they sell a **** ton of them for being such a "limited" pickup (generating lots of profit to boot) and guess what?  The Raptor is on track to outsell the total production run of Lightnings after being on the market for only 3 years or so.

The Raptor is so ridiculous. It's on the same scale of silliness as the "domesticated" H2/H3 Hummers which hit the market a number of years ago. The novelty will blow over before long.

There's a pretty strong market for sport hatches, and AWD tuner type cars.
It's amazing how many pay will over pay for an STi or and EVO. Plus, the RS has been salivated over by that crowd stateside, for as long as I can remember.

My issues also with the Raptor is the size.  It's gigantic.  I'd rather a supercab, but you lose so much interior space.  it's getting an EB motor next year, it needs an EB5.0 to move it's hefty ass.

Ford, if you are here lurking....

I will buy an RS if you bring it here.

Just make sure there is a good stereo and some comfort options!

It's not like the F-150 isn't losing almost 700 in some configurations in the 2015 model year.

If the RAPTOR was so ridiculous  , than WHY  is it so popular with The US Border Patrol .... Most of the agents LOVE them .....

The " Novelty " has not wore off , its been in production since ( at least ) 2010 .

It's less of a novelty when it actually serves as utility.
Probably a pretty excellent vehicle to have down that way.

But on a city street, driven by a white collar dude who'll never take it off pavement? C'mon...oozing novelty, ball swinging cooler talk material there.

that would be true of probably 90% of the 4x4 pickups and Jeeps on the road today
