July 16, 2017 — Ford is recalling about 6,000 model year 2017 Ford Edge, Fusion and Lincoln MKZ vehicles to fix problems with the torque converters. Z

The Ford Edge SUVs were built from April 25, 2017, to June 20, 2017, the Ford Fusion cars were manufactured between May 4, 2017, and June 15, 2017, and the Lincoln MKZ cars were built May 4, 2017, to June 19, 2017.

FORD EXPLORER RECALL ISSUED OVER FUEL PRESSURE SENSORS.

NOVEMBER 16, 2018 — A Ford Explorer recall has been issued for 160 model year 2018 SUVs equipped with 2.3-liter or 3.5-liter GTDI engines.

The Ford Explorers have fuel pressure sensors that weren't built correctly, resulting in fuel leaks and possible fires.

No crashes, fires or injuries have been reported, but dealers will need to replace the fuel line assemblies in Explorers built in Chicago between July 29-31, 2018.

There are 144 recalled Explorers in the U.S. and 16 in Canada.

FORD EDGE RECALL NEEDED FOR SEAT BELT PROBLEMS
Ford recalls more than 400 Edge SUVs to replace the seat belt pretensioner assemblies. Z

OCTOBER 30, 2019 — A 2019 Ford Edge recall is in the works as the automaker says dealerships will need to possibly replace the driver's side seat belt pretensioner assemblies if they fall within certain production dates.

Ford says more than 400 model year 2019 Ford Edge SUVs are affected, with 366 vehicles recalled in the U.S. and 65 recalled in Canada.

The seat belt assembly may not restrain a driver in a crash because the seat belt pretensioner anchor wasn't properly crimped.

The Edge SUVs were built between September 18 and 19, 2019, and no reports of crashes or injuries have been received.

Ford didn't say when the 2019 Edge recall will begin, but dealerships will inspect the driver's side seat belt pretensioner assemblies to determine if any components need to be replaced.

FORD RECALLS FUSION, MERCURY MILAN AND LINCOLN MKZ AFTER 15 CRASHES
Ford recalls 600,000 vehicles after 15 crashes and two injuries were caused by braking problems. Z

DECEMBER 20, 2019 — A Ford hydraulic control unit recall has been ordered after 15 crashes and two injuries were caused by braking problems.

More than 600,000 model year 2006-2010 Ford Fusion, Mercury Milan and Lincoln MKZ vehicles are affected.

Ford says a normally closed valve inside the hydraulic control unit may stick open and cause brake pedal problems.

Extended brake pedal travel may cause a driver problems when trying to come to a stop in the vehicles which were built at the Hermosillo plant in Mexico between February 22, 2006, and July 15, 2009.

FORD DOOR LATCH RECALL INVESTIGATED AS DOORS KEEP OPENING
Government says Fiesta, Fusion and Lincoln MKZ owners complain the door latch repairs didn't work. Z

DECEMBER 26, 2019 — A Ford door latch recall issued in 2015 and another door latch recall ordered in 2017 are under investigation by federal safety regulators.

The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) says owners continue to complain about doors that open while driving 2012-2014 Fiesta, 2013-2014 Fusion and 2013-2014 Lincoln MKZ vehicles.
