front bumper replacement.

They have excellent (100%) feedback score with over 30K transactions.

yeah im just amazed how cheap this might end up being. but i should probably get a new absorber thing aswell. the led poped out of the grey fog light assembly i think it might just go back in. im gonna look for that bumper tutorial

Seems like a good price.  The paint code will get you to the start and may look fine.  My concern would be an actual match...

Suppliers change and with them slight color changes occur.  You've also go a 2010 and may have enough subtle change from sun, etc. to make it a little different color than it was originally.  My body/paint guy actually uses equipment to match the paint color of the car, tinting factory paint as necessary.... and even at that he has repainted a body kit for one of my trucks fully (on his own without me ever seeing the first job) because he still didn't think it matched.

You might try it... could always go for a change if it doesn't match when you install.  Depends on how good the deal is and whether you can get the bumper cheaper unpainted and have the paint done locally at a similar price.

Just the opinion of an appearance freak...

so well it turns out there was more damage then i thought.
$2400 dollar estimate :S Gonna try to goto a ford dealership hopefully they can get it under 2000.

What about you or your buddy's insurance?

I was gonna say - he backed into you, why is HIS insurance/wallet not footing the bill?
Yea, what's up with you paying for the damage?  Friendship does have it's limits... and that's where responsibility should kick in! ...along with his insurance that should fix it like it never happened at no cost to you!

no hes paying for it but if its over 2000 in my province i need to goto cop shop and get police sticker. i think my insurance finds out somehow.

Think im gonna put this off till after my vacation in march. Ill just concentrate on getting else with the car up to OCD perfect. I want to fix taillights, Ornaments to 13 ones, and to get tint and black vinyl on the roof.

I would get the damage first.  Just get $1999 from him and wing the rest.

hmm i feel so ripped off i searched all the parts numbers to see what i could get them for that tasca parts place has stuff listed at half of what this one place quoted the parts at. and when i went to a ford dealership they had a higher place then the BMW oriented place. Do autobody places accept parts i buy myself?

Ask 'em.  My dealer is really good that way.  I did see a front cover/painted on ebay a short while back.  It wasn't expensive.  You could easily pop your old one off and put a new one like that on. In about two hours with all the running lights and stuff.

I bought a genuine Ford front bumper cover, primed & all ready to go, for just a couple hundred IIRC back in March after the mother of all raccoon's decided to commit vehicular suicide by jumping in front of my intended path of travel.

Certainly no more than $300.

Only bummer was the imposed core charge. But that got quickly refunded.

BTW, I'm so proficient at removing & reinstalling that front clip now, I've got it down to 12 minutes.

I can practically do it with my eyes closed. It's pretty easy stuff.

lol I posted that earlier in the thread i was thinking that option but id rather get the paint done at a good place so they can hopefully blend it into the surrounding fenders cause i got some rock chips id love to get covered up. im actually so happy. once i figure out if i can find a good place to install my parts ill be golden. i made myself quite the wishlist.

this place is like my adult candystore...

Kind of hard for me to read but check the tail lights with my tail light thread.  There should be four pieces.  You have two right fender ornaments on there.  I can't wait for you to be posting pictures of the finished product soon!
