Front end clicking sound of death

Well took her in to get the front end noise check out and my dealer will only perform the TSB and not change the hubs! I just got off the phone with the service manager and he assures me he will do whatever it takes till the problem is resolved. A thirty year technician is the one who diagnosed the issue. I told him I will not take it till it passes my test drive! I am taking the SHO in Monday and will keep ya'll posted. Wish me luck!

I purchased two vehicles from this dealership but not my SHO. Been doing business with their service dept for 14 years and I sold the owner a camper at cost! I also send my RV customers over there to buy trucks to pull campers.

I think they will do the right thing for you, they probably want to make certain and get updates from other dealers that they are affiliated with, and also need authorization for warranty work in order to be performed, did you give my dealers phone number if it helps any!!

I apologize for the late reply this flu is beating me up,man with all the buisiness you are giving them on your end and selling the camper at cost, they should not only do the right thing for you,but even give you a new 15 SHO for all the clients you recommended to them, good luck and keep us updated.

Don't worry, they will fix it.  They are milking the system, more hours = more money.  I'm sure they know the hubs are the end fix.

Got my car back today and the front end noise is gone. I guess that 30 year tech knew what he was doing! I'm thinking that Ford dealerships know how to correct the problem now without changing the hubs-they told me they had to add some parts that only comes on the new cars that my SHO never had. Anyway for now the nightmare seems to be over. Thanks for all the advice fellas!

That is awesome news Anthony, and hopefully those new updated parts the senior tech installed is a permanent fix and stays that way, does the steering feel tighter?best of luck and any questions you may have please feel free to ask.Z

Very cool!  Do you see these new parts listed on your invoice?  And good luck with the fix, Anthony!

A total of six parts were changed under warranty and my car was road tested by the shop manager-I just had to clean the technician grime out of my car! Some type of rubber bushing was the part added to the front end to stop the metal on metal sound I was hearing so I'm sure Ford has the correct fix for this bulletin. My steering does feel tighter so for now I'm satisfied. I only have 4 months left on my factory warranty so if I keep the car I'm strongly considering getting a service plan but im reluctant because of the tune I have installed. I will have this figured out one day!

Get the plan anyway.  You can always return to stock (and 2 bar if you have a 3 bar MAP) when service is needed.  Not like your SHO is heavily modified.

My dealership knows about my tune -I knew it was a one way trip when I installed it. I'm a film believer in only flashing my computer once! I will return it to stock when I sell it.
