Got my kit (DONE) today

I'll get some readings (boost rpm ect) this is the first day I have drove the car sense meth and tune. It's the motor for sure / popping missing bad

I'll  do more thorough  testing tomorrow, still gotta derive home tonight though
Just watching the light it seems to come on at good times, doesn't come on to easy. But when you get on it a bit it go's red/green pretty fast
 
Might have figured something out. Driving home tonight, from 40 to 110 mph full throttle green light and ran flawless. What I noticed from a stop and go full throttle it hits red line way fast 6500 rpms and I think it running into a rev limiter. And that's exactly what it feels and sounds like - pop p-pop pp-pop p-pop - I can see it on the tach too
That is a launch in drive

One other thing - I put down pipes (w/cats) on after meth and tune wonder if that would have something to do with it
 
It's not flashing red/green is it? If it does you have air in system. To purge remove line from spray nozzle and hit test button until you have a steady stream and the reattach line.

I was wondering about the possibility of air in the meth lines to, but all rolling launches produce a steady green with no hesitation. The problem arises when you hit redline in first gear, if I use the gas peddle to stop the motor from going over 6000 rpms it fine. Like I said the symptoms sound and feel like a rev limiter and the tach seems to concur as it seems to hit and bounce off the redline 
 
Do you think the tune not accommodating the downpipes has something to do with it?. I received the meth tune but installed meth and downpipes at the same time. Maybe it flows and rev's higher / faster allowing it to hit its limiter?
 
Talked to Anthony at LMS he suggested try it with all traction disable. I'll see what happens here in a minute. But thinking about it if it does work that would be kinda funky. "Hold on let me stop and turn off advance trac" before I can launch. Anyone else's hitting (what seems like a rev limiter) when trac controls are on
 
Well - seems to be the case. Advance trac off and could not get it to duplicate symptoms. All enabled and fist pull I got the pop p-pop thing going on. Streets are pretty wet tonight so couldn't hook up to good but seems like that's it. Could not get it up to 6500 rpms either, seemed to shift around 5 1/2. Anthony said one of his fellow workers at LMS has a 13 PP and his does funny things to when advance trac is not turned off. Some thing about an aggressive tune, meth, downpipes and exhaust just generates to much for the traction control system and it just start compensating in qweer ways
 
Still waiting to hear back from LMS to see if there is something they can do to fix this. But in the mean time is there anyone else that has the same mods and has to turn the advance trac off to launch from 1st gear?

I'd certainly ask.... and regardless of the answer I'd ask for the tune to be modified for the downpipes, which they can do quickly. 
Without a tune the turbos spool up 700-900rpms quicker due to the better flow even in catted downpipes, which I believe the ECM sees as increased torque (see the dyno curves that 4DR posted on my car in the dyno for DP thread)) and so it adjusts.  I have noticed without tuning or other performance mods that my idle speed is now 450-500 even with the air conditioner on.. it's slow enough to cause a bit of vibration.  I currently believe that the ECU is cutting back torque not needed to cause this... don't know, but It is clear that the increased exhaust flows and earlier spool up of the turbos creates a new set of inputs for the ECM to deal with. 
 
Very interesting info, BiGMaC.  Seems like your SHO needs a tune more than ever :D  Since you already have the fastest color, put some turbos & catbacks on it and join the 500 AWHP club!
 
My '13 also stutters and kills power on launches with advancetrac on. I always just turn it off when i'm launching. The wife has figured out when i reach down for that button "Its about to get real". ::devil::

Anthony at LMS said from what I'm describing the only cure would be to down tune it, I said "no thanks" he also said if I'm not throwing codes the downpipes are already good to go

So at this point I guess I just need to turn A/T off every time I get in the car or learn how to launch as hard as possible without the car shutting down, in the case that street racing is imperative, necessary, justified (not) used to shut that civic (w/an amp on his muffler) down
 
Interesting.  My car with or without traction control launches like a beast with zero stutter or cutback.  I cannot shut off advance trac.
