FYI - that is one bolt, not the pair.  for some reason they do not sell the new correct rear bolt in pairs.  I bought that part number from amazon and had to buy qty:2.  Notes say 1 kit per wheel.

yes 81280 is for a pair.  I quoted the 84130 section which are not a pair, they are sold singly.

Any of you guys have the H&R's through a winter? Im on the fence about doing them before the New England winter here. I may wait until spring.
Yup. Had them on for 5 winter seasons here in Chicago, including record snowfall events, as well as extreme cold temps, and they performed flawlessly.

I no longer daily drive my SHO either, and I have since upgraded to the Megan Racing coil overs.

But the H&R's were great given they were only springs.

I loved providing snow plow services for free, where ever I drove. Haha

Hahaha I would cringe to drive my SHO like that!  My front chin doesn't have 3M Clear Film to protect the paint.  I should do that soon!

The lip was painted along with getting my bumper resprayed.  I don't tailgate and I still have some new chips here and there.  Should touch them up and get the paint protection film.  Does your bumper have it too?

And the previous owner drove the car in a few winters.  How does your rear reinforcement bar look?  Mine needs to replaced.  When i go underneath the car its an eye sore!

Im truly GLAD as the OP that many of you have found this thread very informative in many ways than one!
I appreciate everyones contributions, while keeping the Ecoboost community up to speed.
I will Sticky this topic!  Z  :)

Thanks to everyone in this thread for the incredible information!  You guys are excellent!

I've accepted the challenge and I'm installing my H & R springs (and cam bolts) on my 15 non-PP, this Saturday.  VERY much looking forward to how this turns out.  I'll post back here with the results.

Okay!  All done!  And I love the way it looks, but I already knew what i would look like.  I can see why some people don't like the ride, but I'm gonna keep it.  Daddy like....

As everything settles in it definitely gets a lot better. I was gritting my teeth when I first installed them and took the car for a ride. Everything is a lot better now that everything is broken in and settle into place. One thing I would suggest is throwing in some extra weight in the trunk to help them settle in. Just imo

So a follow upon this tale...

I had some the pogo'ing going on.  Where some bumps would send the rear end off to the left or right side.

Turns out that it's the toe setting causing this. After letting everything settle in for a few weeks, I had a four wheel alignment done, and my rear toe (and overall toe) was pretty far off.

So if you're experiencing pogo'ing after putting these puppies on, get a four wheel alignment.

I'm am really liking the stance and the ride.

Where in NY are you? How you liking the springs after all this time

@-18 SHO I'm loving the ride from A-Z thus far with the only exception would be roads that have a slight dip @ highway speeds which it hits hard due to the stiffer suspension but nothing Good comes without compromise.  Z  :)

I think I was the first to mention that you need to give the supension a few hundred miles to settle, break in period for good measures...
BTW I'm in LI N.Y closer to N.J...

Going to be tuned soon by a local reputable tuner , ill be running 3bar and k&n drop in to start with some e30 or 100 octane . Ill be attending most likely lebanon valley dragway a lot . Where do you go to the strip?

ZSHO said:
I have never been to Lebanon valley but we might cross paths one day! I have been to Milan and Cecil county many times and my last outing with a Trap speed of almost 116 mph below!
The H&R springs will definitely help in that department as it netted me a best 1.752 60' time.

Best of luck with the tuning and mods. Z

Wow you take the drives for sure.. id think at least island dragway which is closest to you. Hope we do cross paths id love to check that car out... hell of a MPH and 60ft

I guess many of you know I love the H&R Springs setup and only gripe is roads that have a dip @ highway speeds you will most certainly feel the impact due to the overall stiffer suspension but if your on the fence go for it IMHO. Z  :)

I absolutely LOVE the way the car sits now.  Remember though, that you ARE removing 1.5 inches of travel off the top (since the bottom of travel is unchangeable).  Just remember that it will be a stiffer ride, and you MUST watch for higher curbs when parking and opening doors.

...did I mention how much I love her stance now?  In fact my family sometimes catches me checking her out as we're walking away or towards, the car.

When I order these do I need just the one pair or should I order two ? One pair per side? I'm pulling the trigger on H&R springs in the upcoming week or two!
