Hi Everyone! Few things….

Hey everyone. New to this forum and I just wanted to say hi and introduce myself.

Im Evan. I live in ShOCal and Ive owned my 2010 Taurus SHO for almost 2 years now…. (longest length in one car ever for me) I track my SHO both road courses and straight line racing. You can see my kill videos on my youtube page ( http://www.youtube.com/user/evanandmelissa/videos )

My SHO is only running an airaid intake, 170tstat and LMS tune for 109 octane (while at the track) My fastest time was a 13.104 on just a stage 4 LMS tune at Fomoso speedway.
Im about to add the LMS downpipe and custom straight pipes.

Im trying to think outside the box here on some mods. Anyone have any ideas on some mods that not too many others have done?

Its nice seeing the new turbos coming out but no one has found a bigger IC yet? maybe a NOS halo spray for the IC? Anyone hear of a way to override the car from sending the power back to the front wheels after the rear wheels hit 150ftlb of tq? Anything I'm missing? Just trying to kick around some ideas.

Thanks guys,

Evan

Welcome, You finally made it here. I met you at your work. And no, no larger IC's that will fit yet, nobody has found a way to override the front/rear drive power split yet. Although it has been discussed here, I dont believe we have enough info to override it. But somebody more knowledgeable about this than I am should chime in about your questions.

Sweet! A familiar face already! haha. You should cruise down to Qualcomm on Friday the 24th. Its a vettes vs vipers showdown in the 8th mile. I plan on getting some good youtube videos smoking some of both haha.

Welcome, Evan!  Many mods have been developed for this platform, and more are in the pipeline.  Like Robert said, ideas are being tossed around on the IC, nothing conrete yet.  Transmission related mods take the game to a whole new level of investment in time & money.  The best thing you can do to date is keep the fluids (trans, PTU, RDU) changed out regularly if you run your SHO hard.  The AWD system isn't full-time, primarily being FWD in character, and pulling in the RWD portion as needed for traction & stability.

In production performance mods to date:  tunes, catback exhaust, downpipes (catted & catless), exhaust cutouts, hot pipes, bigger turbos, methanol systems, coilovers, and big brake kits.  If you are up to it, you can add in 4DRHTRD's aux fuel system setup for even more hp.  4DR (Mike) can order you quite a bit of this stuff directly at competitive prices, head on over to http://www.ecoboostpowerparts.com.

Head over to the HOW-TO section of the forum to get a feel for what's going on in the EB/SHO world.  Time well spent.

Couldn't make it there during the week. I work in Downtown LA, and not off until 5:00PM. You should come up to Irwindale on Thursday night. 1/8 Mile. 5:00PM. I will be there this Thursday if my turbo is not leaking.

THaks guys. Yea… I need tranny mods ASAP seeing as I've already broken 2 of them!!! SOCAL, i do go to irwindale some times. Ill let you know the next time i up there. My buddies and I have a race league. Its like an adult softball league but with racing. We have a full season and Irwindale is one of our stops in our season, but its also one of the places we go a few times just for test and tune.

The 1st you can do is retro fit 2013 auxiliary trans cooler.

I plan on going tomorrow to Irwindale. I noticed another drip from the oil tube under the front turbo (Just had that fixed in early December), they said they cleaned the area, but I noticed another drip tonight. I just cleaned the area, and will check again tomorrow. If no drip, then racing. If dripping, I will play it by ear.

Welcome to the board. I noticed you said you broke TWO transmissions already? What let loose on them? Crazy to think you killed two with just a tuned ride.
