HID kit on my SHO

Hey guys!

So I ordered my HID kit from daytimebrightlites.com. Dan was amazing and answered all my questions sufficiently!  Fitment was straight forward and did not take a lot of time. Took me an hour and a half although I bet I can do it faster now since I know my way around the car. First time to get under the hood for this car :) I went with the 4300k bulbs. The light is bright, aligned and well spread.  Will keep you updated if I find any problems. This is a great kit for SHOs that don't come with HID's. pictures below.

Cheers!

Not in Canada.  HIDs not "legal".

But we have lots of factory cars with HID up here though

Technically it's illegal to install HID in a housing that was not originally designed for HID. That said it is primarily for reflector housing type housings. Police will not be able to tell if it's supposed to have HID or not as you have projector housings. You will not "blind" on coming traffic as much as a reflector type HID. I actually did a HID retrofit on mine, and installed a set of Evo-XR hid projectors. Although it was a ton of work it was worth it.

yes that is what I was saying though Canadian SHO's should come with HID ...it's not illegal in Canada to have a vehicle with OEM HID's on it

Interesting.  Heard different on other forums, but glad to learn here it's OK to have OEM HIDs in Canada :)

Looking good!  ... But didn't it come with HIDs?

Thanks!
Unfortunately they don't. But I agree with what my other fellow Canadians have said regarding the fitments of an HID kit on a non HID car.

Cheers!
