Hot Pipe group buy

OK, let me clear some things up:
1. The first four set of pipes had the nitrous hole/mount put into them, I didn't ask for it he just copied my pipes.
2. For the Tial BoV just connect into a post throttle body boost source, easiest way is to cut the brake booster line and T it to a 5/16" line to the Tial. Leave the factory BoV connected to the harness and just zip tie, they fit easily under the factory cover, you can't see them due to the gigantic piece of plastic... :) As Bob found you just take the pipe with the nitrous hole down to the local hardware store and get a screw. I had the pipes built and drop shipped from PPE, they didn't have access to put a screw in the pack unfortunately.
3. The assembly is pretty straight forward:
The 3" to 2.5" pipe goes from the TB (3") to Intercooler (2.5") - short fat bent one with TIP sensor mount
The 1.5" to 2" short slightly bent pipe goes to the front turbo and will have the 1.5" straight on one side and 2" straight on the other side to go to the intercooler.
The pipe with the mounting tab goes to the back turbo and requires a 1.5" to 2" reducer to go to the turbo.
The left over pipe connects to the back turbo pipe and then to the intercooler, it uses the 2" hump hose and 2" straight, hump hose to the other pipe and 2" straight to the Intercooler.

For the factory BoV pipes just mount them with factory screws and then connect to harness, they vent to atmosphere
For the Tial, just hook to the boost source I stated above. The key is the Tial must be connected to a vacuum/boost source AFTER the throttle body.

If the pipes hit the factory air box you can clearance the box to fit, the opening is on the "outside" of the filter so if you suck in air there it's not a problem due to being filtered after.

I don't believe there is a US manufacturer... possibly UK or China, but I think the shipping would be prohibitive.

Three question. What about ceramic coating like jet hot, what the hell is that thing hanging off the side of the factory intake before the throttle body.  And why are you calling these hot pipes..they support the cold side of the turbo. Intercooler  or intake piping makes much more sense. I was very confused about what you were selling from the topic header. After seeing the pictures it was quickly cleared up.. thank,

It's just what the "new" name is for the pressurized piping. The cold pipes are actually the pre-turbo pipes, hot pipes are post turbo unless you're thinking exhaust, that's called a manifold and a downpipe.
:)
The thing hanging off the pipe pre throttle body is a Tial blow off valve to replace the factory ones.

Any update on getting these for the xsport?
Thx

Hopefully Mike can fill us in on this. PPE is involved in the project also.  Mike is sending direct email inquires to folks (not necessarily on the forum) offering cash incentive for use of an Explorer to do the development. So he is moving ahead actively, just need the vehicle for about 2 days.... Anyone interested contact Mike directly.

Xsport going in for hot pipes to hopefully be test fitted on Monday but I don't know if he'll have time to review the hot pipes as well as we only have it for a few hours.

Do you mean going in for down pipes? And might not have time for hot pipes?
Thanks.
If I lived in AZ, we would have had this done already.. LoL

I found a guy on craigslist selling his explorer sport, we're paying him to come down for a day to fit some SHO downpipes to that we can modify to fix the xsport, based off the pictures the turbo portion is the same, just the engine cradle requires a "hump" to be made. Hoping to get them done tomorrow!
I don't think we'll have time to test fit a set of hot pipes as he doesn't have but a few hours for us to use his car.

For an extra $100, you think he would let you keep an extra day to do hot pipes?
I'd paypal you the $100?
LOL, I love this forum.

Sending money to complete strangers to get performance parts built, FTW!
