I have a noise from the right front.....Warranty and 4X tune question

I have a noise from the right front when turning the wheel back and forth.  It's not a clunk but more of a dull click and exactly the same noise every time.  I'm guessing it's a tie rod.  I have 2010 and am still within my extended warranty.  I have the LMS 4X tune and should I load the stock tune before I take it in?  I really don't want to.

I always go back to stock before a dealership visit. You just never know what they'll do or say. If you haven't discussed the tune with your SA and they are cool with it then just go back to stock. Better safe than sorry. Plus, when you retune after picking it up it will put that smile back on your face.

It sound like your wheel hubs(bearings),are going bad, also always revert back to stock prior to a dealer visit because surely there not going to ask for your permission if your PCM needs re-programming(updates).  Z

Agree with all the comments.  I would (and do) flash back also. Plus when picking up the car I always ask if they flashed... This often results in a new strategy code.  Benefits: you have the current stock updates and you know to get the new SC to your tuner so revised tunes will work in your car. I have had this event happen and was glad I had a drive able car and within 24 hrs an appropriate tune.

Personally, I wouldn't ask them cause that just raises suspicion. Not to mention Ford dealerships are very busy places these days taking care of a gazilion recalls and a fact like that could be missed in the process. Take a pic of your strategy and check it after any dealer trips before reflashing.

Good thought FoMoCo.  I don't worry too much due to dealer/SA relationship... And I just ask if there were updates 'cuz they know I'm a car guy.... But your idea gets by it all.
