Incorrect AFR at WOT Help!!

BG44K is generally considered a superior FI cleaner, but Techron is also very very good (OEM recommendation from BMW, e.g.).  Neither will get any carbon on the backs of the intake valves, but anything from the fuel tank to the combustion chamber to the valve faces will get cleaned out.  I recently put up a thread about ACES IV, which MIGHT work on the back of the valves also, but little data on that.

No Costco?  These are Top Tier stations:

Valero is about 5 miles from where i live, guess i will try them next time, attached is a log i took while cruising. the kr gets high when cruise control is active going over hills. I still cnt hear anything out of the ordinary ... i dont see these readings at WOT

I certainly agree with SHOdded, and definetly pour a can of B.G 44K fuel system cleaner in your tank at least every oil change for optimum performance especialy if your limited to top tier gasoline in your area, have been using BG-44K and Chevron techron for quite sometime now and definetly would recommend them, personaly like the BG product thats in a can and the label clearly says made for DGI.  Z

I didnt find the B.G 44k in Autozone.. one of the assistance said you can only get that from the dealership ??.. i  pick up the techron and will use it next time i fill up

BG products are apparently only available through BG dealers.  The website will find you one.

Has anyone used the BG Gasoline Direct Injection Cleaner (their part #s 271 and 272?

BTW... BMW recommends Shell Nito Plus officially... I personally didn't like how my SHO ran on it.  Shell is giving away a Beamer a day for 100 days to get you to try it.

Techron should work great.  If you do an OC after you've run thru the tank, you will be even happier :)

BG products can be had off EBay or Amazon or many local service shops.  Go to http://bgprod.com to find the service shops in your area.

pretty interesting indeed. i have 65k on the car never used any cleaners/aditive.. seems like i have a few things to try out. Torrie sent me a revision after i sent him the 2 logs i posted here. i will run it tommorrow and see if kr readings change

Wonder what Torrie found to adjust in the tune.  Would be great if it is a "software" thing.  But still doesn't take away from the need to periodically run cleaners through the air/fuel system.  Hopefully no fuel pump involvement.

EDIT:  Pedal to the metal action is recommended to clear out the carbon cobwebs, so don't avoid it :)

Im not sure what he found, but with his revision the problem seems to have vanished.. check log below.. i need to log going over long steep hills next

Definitely significantly reduced, not completely gone, which is OK.  Seems to happen more now when easing off the throttle.  The AFR's and spark advance's are now mirroring each other pretty well, which is good also.

To add to the afr issue, im having a similar issue, my afrs seem to freeze during wide open throttle, the numbers stay put until i let off, and sometimes even after i let off, they also go to zero very often, its only in bank 1 and i replaced both 02 sensors in that bank, im beyond confused, when i return to stock it runs like a pile of garbage, im pulling hair, please helpp
