Is this normal?

I was under the dash today to pull the sync fuse to reset it (Bluetooth wasn't working) while down there. I saw that where the break pedal goes through the firewall into the break booster/master cylinder, it is wet, I took some pictures, is it normal? The booster was replaced 15000 miles ago with a new one because of a spongy pedal.

Is it really wet?  Did you touch/smell it?  If that seal is two piece it could be a glossy sealant that was applied to it?

Yea it's not soaking, but it's damp. I didn't smell it, but I'm expecting break fluid

Did you check your brake fluid level.

I'm guessing it's some kind of lubricant to prevent the bar that goes through the grommet in the fire wall from rubbing/squeaking.

I'll get back under there in the morning to get some on my finger and feel it. I'm hoping it's just a lubricant.
