Just bought a brand new 2013 PP (So.Cal)

Hello everyone, So I went down to buy a new focus ST last night and came home with a new 2013 Taurus SHO they had on the lot. I instantly fell in love with the car and I got 10k off MSRP because it had been on the lot awhile.

Anyway looking forward to doing some mods to this car. I'm coming from a 1000 HP SPC turboed and fully built RGR coyote mustang, and before that a Vortech blown jeep SRT8. So needless to say I like speed. I would like to get the SHO to run faster 1/4 mile times then my jeep which ran consistent 11.60's I don't know if that's possible with just bolt on's or not?

Here's the mustang in case you guys wanted to see that also. I had ecoboost badges under the 5.0 just to throw people off. :)

Welcome aboard, Mon Ami, nice grab with a new '13 PP!  Got that gofast bug, do ya?  Welllll ... Right now, you can get into the low 12s for sure with methanol spraying, maybe faster with ethanol fuel /aux fuel system.  Mid /low 11s though, likely not unless you sacrifice streetability and reliability.

Greetings.

That blue SHO looks saweet!
Mustang looks real solid and FAST!

Pretty tough getting these land yachts of 4400 lbs in the 11's with just bolt ons. Possible, just not regularly done.

Good luck on the venture and keep us posted.

Rich

I had a similar experience, walked in for an ST, drove out with a SHO...

Congrats on the beautiful blue SHO, and Welcome to EBPF!

Thanks for the welcome everyone! I was pretty active on past vehicle forums so you guys will be seeing more of me. :)

Very nice, what part of SoCal do you live in?

Thanks, I live in Bear Valley Springs its up by Tehachapi off HWY 58. I'm at 6000ft and we get quite a bit of snow that's why I am excited to have an AWD vehicle again.

Congrats, love the blue!  So rare.  Sad a '13 SHO was still new sitting on the lot, glad you rescued it!

If it's a PP (looks like it from front grille), then you have summer tires. Be careful when it gets below 30 and when the white stuff starts flying.

11's are possible......

But it'll take you some work to get there.

To date, only one person has pulled it off so far (FirstSHO Mike).

I am projected to run low 11's with my current set up. But that's entailed an extensive amount of investment.

I was hoping to make it out to Livernois' 2nd Customer Appreciation Track Event for 2014, but the date got changed at the last minute, due to weather and rescheduling issues.

Never was able to make it out.

Given 2014 track season's drawing to a (quick) close here in the Midwest, if I'm not able to coordinate schedules here in the next week or so.....

The expected new World Record Runs will have to wait until 2015's season openers.

I too went in for a st and came home with a sho... Also got same deal the sho are way marked up got mine for 36k and that's w pp

Yeah I have watched a few videos of your car and I really like what you have done with it. I think for the time being I'm going to do turbos back exhaust, Livernois tune, Intake, And id really like to lower it ASAP I just don't know if I can hold out for coilovers I might just go with H&R springs. I'm also looking into a 20x8.5 20x10 staggered wheel setup.
