KYB Excel-G struts/shocks

Anyone have any experience with these?  Looking for something decent that's going to feel as close to stock as possible.  Don't care about performance.  Rockauto has a rebate going on these and the the Monroe's through April.  People don't seem to like the Monroe's much around the internet.

One of my strut bearings is shot, so i might as well do everything and not worry about it for a while - bearings, struts, and shocks.  They're all original and i'm at about 135k right now, so even though they feel fine (minus the bearing), i think I'm just going to do everything.

Anyone have any input with these?

Did he have a bad experience with them?  Not seeing anything in that thread other than him looking for the right ones.  Did he mention it in another thread?

Edit:  Never mind.  Found his other thread.  Maybe i'll just go with the motorcrafts then.

KYBs are good parts ... if they fit the application, which in this case, they don't :(  OEM all the way.  With this being an MKS, there's the added consideration of ride control, so I dunno about coilovers either.

I talked to DutchSHO via PM since he lives in VA.... he had a ton of bounce with his KYBs and did not like them at all... IIRC he was gonna face the wrath of his wife and spend the money on a new set of motorcrafts...

Interesting, because the shock in the rear is SHO specific, but not PP vs non-PP specific.

Sounds like Motorcraft is the way to go.  I'll just go ahead and order those then.  Get it right the first time.
