Labor Day SCT / HPTuners Specials

I am used to HP Tuners from the tuning perspective.  However, since they specialize in GM I assume that in this case you are using it as a data logger?

In my haste, my thought was not put together well.  Sorry about that!

I was asking if HP Tuners was used for data logging only (scan tool), or used as a tuning tool in lieu of any SCT model.

Several years ago (about 10) I used HP Tuners when they first came on the market, for my Camaro.  Back then they focused on GM vehicles.  I popped up their website (surprisingly hasn't changed much) and saw that have branched out to other Makes.  However, on their vehicle list I see that the EcoBoost models are not yet supported.

Does 399 cover the tuner and custom tuning for life, or is there an additional fee for tuning after purchasing the sctx4, and if so, how much?

Thank you for a fast replay. I'm just starting to learn about this tuner, and it seems like the best bang for the buck and customer service. So I have more questions.

It has three maps, correct, what's the difference between these maps?

And will this tuner allow for changing other features on the car such as tire ratio, and will it allow me to go into tune files to manually adjust them/tweak them? Or are the files locked, and all it does is loads the maps an records data?

I enable the on device options which allows you limited adjustments the rest I handle for you. Custom files are generated once I determine your needs.

Okay, in plain English lol, can I have like an economy map and performance tune that I could switch between, say a long ride vs track?

What features could you allow me to adjust? Are these all tune related, or could be like tire ratio adjustments, fan adjustments, and so forth...
