Livernois tune with PPE down pipes.

Anyone running Livernois tune with PPE down pipes. Looking at some down pipes but want some that will pass readiness checks. I don't want to have to take them on and off once a year.

I don't have either but lots of people DO NOT have issues with this combo.
Very common combo.

Not Livernois tuned but I can vouch that catted PPE pipes and a stock tune, which I had to revert briefly to, will pass all emissions tests. I may bug my tuner to see if he'll set the other systems to ready for the next time I have to do it, but considering how easy it is to switch back and forth between tunes, I may just let it ride.

I have the combo for three years now and have no issues whatsoever....just make sure you revert back to stock tune prior to visiting your local friendly emissions center,here's a recent topic on the discussion on hand.  Z    http://www.ecoboostperformanceforum.com/index.php/topic,6248.0.html  BTW would also install some new gaskets based on the mileage you have,dont want no air leaks.

What is the point of flashing to stock for emissions?....better yet , what is the point of buying the ppe pipes if they wont set monitors?

Anyone running Livernois tune with PPE down pipes. Looking at some down pipes but want some that will pass readiness checks. I don't want to have to take them on and off once a year.

We do support tuning for PPE downpipes both catted and non catted as well.  The catted versions will pass a readiness check and do not require specific tuning modifications to keep the rear o2s from throwing DTC codes like the non catted ones will.  Our tunes will still leave the rear o2 sensors fully active, but we still strongly suggest to return the vehicle to stock tuning any time you are taking the vehicle in to a garage / shop or other location that may connect to the OBD port to be safe.  I've also heard that 3 bar MAP tuning can throw a flag on a emissions inspection.  Here in the great state of Michigan we do not have any type of inspections like this, so I'm just sharing the feedback I've had from others. 

Putting a tuned vehicle back to stock before going in for service, maintenance , inspections, or anything of that sort is an industry standard if guys are not already aware of this.  Check the manual for any canned or custom tuning devices on the market and they all typically tell you to return to stock before having any other devices connected to the OBD port to be safe.  Here is an example below.

What To Do Before Taking The Vehicle In For Service

Return Vehicle To The Stock Programming.
When the vehicle is taken to a dealership or repair shop for any
service, the vehicle’s computer must be returned to the original
stock calibrations, prior to taking the vehicle for service. To do this,
simply plug the programmer back into the diagnostic port and
select the “Return To Stock” option on the programmer.
This allows the original factory calibrations to be transferred from
their stored location in the programmer and reinstalled into the
vehicle’s computer. This process returns the computer to factory
stock and resets the programmer to allow the user to reprogram the
vehicle AFTER repairs or service.

Why Is It Necessary To Return To The Stock Tuning?

The reason that this should be done is because the factory
diagnostic equipment will only recognize factory calibration
information. If that information is not stored it will automatically
update the vehicle’s computer to the original calibrations or to the
most recent updated version, erasing the optimized tuning and
other adjustable features that were installed by the programmer.

Great advice from LME!  Better safe than sorry!

My fear with the dealer is they may do an update as a favor to the customer and, in the process, wipe out your tune.  With a little work you'll be fine, but it's better to avoid that situation entirely.
