Likely they will want to see the cats on the DPs with a CARB number engraved.f8tlSHO said:I am just not sure about emissions.. They don't do a sniff test in my area but I believe it has to have a visable cat. Not sure if just having the 3rd one counts

That's kinda what I am thinking, how hard is it to change them out?.. First time will prob suck I imagine. Once you lather the bolts in antiseize they will be betterBiGMaC said:Likely they will want to see the cats on the DPs with a CARB number engraved.f8tlSHO said:I am just not sure about emissions.. An hour on a lift first time... I went catted because of AZ emissions because I didn't feel the 5 AWHP was worth the difference to me... But each to his own.f8tlSHO said:That's kinda what I am thinking, how hard is it to change them out?.. First time will prob suck I imagine. Yes... At least 49 states maybe 50, CA is always a question.USMCSHO341 said:So are the PPE good to pass emissions?

with the catless DPs most tuners will turn off the rear O2 sensors... Otherwise you get a CEL that will come back no matter how many times it is cleared. Of course this is part of the emissions control system and when it is off the car will fail the OBD II readiness test and you'll fail emissions testing before you start.brewerp93 said:For their catless downpipes does that require an immediate tune change? I am assuming that if you don't get one then the car would be firing off all sorts of error codes thinking there was some stuff messed up.
Manu is spot on! BTW, the numbers I posted were on stock tune. As far as redoing any tune... A quick email or phone call... A day or less wait... And 15 minutes is all that takes... Eezy Peezy!brewerp93 said:So would the car function properly without the tune initially? I am tight on money and would like to throw some downpipes in but can't afford to get that and a tune at the same time.. I've been trying to plan upgrades for this without having to go back and forth and re-do some of the things I have already done such as getting a tune and having to re-tune after the downpipes...
Also make sure you datalog, it felt like the car gained 10whp just from logging the dp tune.BiGMaC said:Manu is spot on! BTW, the numbers I posted were on stock tune. As far as redoing any tune... That's pretty Impressive that u can feel 10hp on 400hp....u are able to detect a 2.5% increase through ur ass lolElvenSho said:Also make sure you datalog, it felt like the car gained 10whp just from logging the dp tune.BiGMaC said:Manu is spot on! Now that you mention it, nobody's harnessed that in a tune. I mean we have the seat filter in place & all ...ajpturbo said:That's pretty Impressive that u can feel 10hp on 400hp....u are able to detect a 2.5% increase through ur ass lol
