LMS first tune wait?

Hello all! So I decided that it was time for the tune ! I purchased the MyCal and had it at my house in 3 days. I immediately plugged it into my car and retrieved my strategic code and vin and all of the other information and sent it . I waited two day and heard nothing so I emailed Dave at LMS (info) and told him what was going on. Within 45 minutes I received an email from Another person Anthony stating that the information was received and it takes 24 to 48 hours to Program. It had now been almost two
Days again! And nothing , so has anyone Else experienced this? Or am I just too inpatient cause as of right now I have a $845 CND paper weight !

Patience is not my strong point either. But sometimes because they deal with 1,000's of customer files, they can get behind in their turn around.
But when you get it..... It will be worth it...
Good luck

For what ever the reason, it took almost 2 weeks for me to get my tune. Then to boot, the files didn't load correctly. Some issue on their server. But eventually it all got straightened out.

Not to knock on LMS because I think they are a good company but this is the sole reason I went with unleashed tuning. I am really impatient and the wait would kill me!! But like everyone says, once you get it, you will be in love!

Maybe with a little luck you'll get it this weekend .
I've seen others get it then as well .... they work long hours somtimes .

Good point, Crash!  Making that phone call (the "personal" touch) can greatly speed up things for you!

From my understanding LMS was the first official company to tune the Ecoboost engines and they stand by there work and reputation, and also right now its their busiest season of the year, summer is almost here, there; is an old saying others try to replicate it but could never duplicate it

Well my badgering paid off, my tunes are ready for downloading! I'm super excited to give it a try! I will be installing them tonight after work! Thanks for the feedback

I wouldn't call it badgering , its called customer support .
Kudos to LMS .... lots of companies have non existent support on the weekends .

When Rick was at LMS, he set an almost impossible-to-reach customer service standard.  Really spoiled the customers :)

got home and tried to update the tuner and it gave me an error code and told me to contact technical support .. not impressed and at a loss right now :(

followed all the instructions and seemed to be working until it tried to reset the mycal to update remaining files and boom error !!! anyone else have this problem it was a "return error : 022A"

Two possible issues ..... you got a bad / corrupted tune file , in which case LMS will have to resend it  or it may be that you got a defective MyCal .
LMS received a bad batch of tuners from AIW and maybe one slipped through and inadvertently was shipped:to you .
Either way you need to call LMS ASAP .

I will call them ASAP !! But strange thing happened ! I went to plug the my cal into my car for kicks and just to see and the tunes were there! So I installed 4+91 octane and it all seem to work because I took it for a spin and well WOW!.

Still I don't know if I'm missing any info (crucial or not) so I will be returning to stock to be safe in the mean time, but I wonder if it is possible to have "half a tune" or have it missing anything.

I also noticed on my test drive I was about 3- gear and wanted to test out the throttle response so I had it at wot up a gradual incline and notice it got to really high revs 6500+ and held . I don't know if this is normal but I just felt like it wanted it keep hauling and not shift so I left off, little scary! Anyway thanks again everyone for all your feedback! I will be contacting LMS ASAP

*just a side note I traveled to Mexico for all my road testing as it is a very popular test area for our cars...

BDayks,  please call Anthony Tuesday or email your contact information to info@livernoismotorsports.com and Anthony will get it.  BTW, Dave does not work at this location.  He monitors some of the forums we are on for us remotely. Thanks!
