LMS stage 4 tune and 87 octane

Just wondering what would happen if I filled my car up with 87 octane fuel while running the LMS stage 4 tune.

As long as you baby it and DON'T DRIVE IT LIKE YOU STOLE IT.... you will have no issues.  Just don't go do any WOT runs.

Lots of knock under boost. Your car would hate you. If you think you will be in a situation requiring you to use a lower octane fuel, have your tuner with you to change to a map that is accommodating. In this case, the stock one.

The hard part is resisting the urge to overtake and have a bit of fun on onramps. I do not have that discipline.

You act like my wife... she did the same damn thing in our G8 yesterday... Fortunately there were around 5 gal of 93 when she added 4 gal of E-10 87.

My wife knows to put only 93 in the tank, but with the 36 gallon tank of the F150 I can pretty much plan around around fill ups, plus I make sure I get them tracked with Fuelly.

Mine usually does too... but the stations in Iowa have changed blends and octane... Some stations now only offer 87. At least she babied it like I suggested to anyone who is tuned...
