I am going to look at a 2010 SHO this weekend and i'd like to know if there is anything i should specifically look for. Also, how is the reliability on these cars once they get up over 100k in mileage? The one i am looking at has 133k miles. Thanks

The chrome trim around the taillights always flakes off in pieces unless they were replaced.  I would treat it like anything else.  Request all if any maintenance records available.  Inspect tires and brakes.  Ask to look at the undercarriage on a lift if at all possible.  Look at the rear bumper reinforcement bar..can get really corroded.  Check out in between front door jams and front fenders for corrosion.  Look for any obvious leaks.  Take for a healthy test drive.  Go WOT a few times.  Take not of transmission feel..is it smooth?  Speed up and slow down..does the brake pedal shake?  How many previous owners?  For the year and mileage expect paint especially front bumper to have plenty of rock chips.  I've had my front bumper repainted already when I installed the front chin spoiler and this year I hit 71k miles.  Also has the car ever been modded or has any existing mods.  I would check it all out.

If you buy change all fluids no matter what anyone says.

Carfax and/or service records from previous owner(s) is a must.  If buying from a Ford/Lincoln dealer, see if they will pull the OASIS records for you - records of servicing at Ford/Lincoln dealerships.

Definitely avoid cars with major accident damage or flooding unless this is a project/hobby car.  Cars with rear end collisisions even if relatively minor can end up with damaged AWD systems.

Look into what warranty comes with the car.  May still be able to get a basic powertrain from Ford Protect after an inspection, as they warranty out to 149,000 miles.

Figure on new tires + alignment.  Possibly shocks n struts too.
