Meth nozzle not flush

Before I get this bung welded on my hot pipes I test fitted the nozzle and it doesn't go all the way to the bottom to the bung, will this be ok?or does it need to be flush

This is only hand tighten til it stopped I could maybe get another thread with a wrench
