MGP Caliper covers for 2013 SHO?

Over the course of the past couple months I thought I read on the old forum that MGP was producing a set of caliper covers that would fit the 2013 SHO with the Performance package...but I've been on their website a few times and I still don't see any updated info on their website.

Anyone have mroe info?

I will poke you in the eyes if you put those on your car!

They are as bad as a zip infested tween with a NOS sticker on his NA 1983 Civic.

Ahh, I have them on my car and I love them, they cut down on dust, are high quality and really clean up the look of the caliper...also it was a lot less work then removing and painting the caliper.  And you don't have to poke me in the eye, I already had a needle in the eye this morning!

SHEESH; I need to get new friends!

I agree with Mark completely Ges just wish my wheels spokes were smaller so could see better. I know my buds who go to shows with me love them of course show guys like to go way over the edge.

I like them with the SHO on there.  But, now with my hubs, I don't want to over do it.

scott-mine fit well on my 2010 non pp. but i had somebody do it for me as had new rotors & pads put on the same time. what he did & at first i didn't like it was tap the calipher to hold on them on better & they sure do. i just had to touch up the screw to match the red of the cover. what i would do is call them. i know mark had real good luck with their CS as i did when i got the wrong color combo, which was partially my fault& dave will know shortly if it's over kill with the hubs. i think with my spokes so big it'll work, if not out comes the hair dryer that's the great part about decals& ges just to get your goat more i almost put red lug nuts on but decided that was even over the edge for me!!

Scott:
Only thing to make sure is if you need those wheel spacers to move wheel out a small amount for the front tires. I thing both Mark & I needed them

Yes, the spacers were required on any of the 10's that had the brake TSB performed because the TSB moved the calipers outboard a few mm's.  The spacers are 3mm and are not noticeable.

They do look good, but there's no way I could justify the price for them vs painting them instead.

Well, I've had them on for almost 2 1/2 years and they have not shown any wear, also the lettering is stamped into the covers, not just painted on.  I felt for the cost, I would have invested more hours into removing the calipers painting them and with past experience with painting calipers, I have never had any luck with the paint not looking kinda dingy after 6 months.

just reminded you of your thread about under glow leds......pot....kettle=black SHO?

I wanted to get some of these until I read that you have to use wheel spacers. There is something unsettling about spacing my wheels out on a car that goes 140 MPH regularly. Maybe I'm just overly cautious.

Where do you drive more then double the national speed limit? LOL

The spacer is about the thickness of 3 pennies...if that.

Yes the are only 3mm and that was with the cars that had the brake TSB done. I believe it is only the 2010 cars.  I have the spacers and have experienced no negative affects from them. They install easily and you can't tell they are on.  I am not sure that you need them if you have a car newer then a 10.  I really like mine, they have remained good looking and have cut down the amount of brake dust I experience on the wheels.  Plus I think they make the caliper area look a lot cleaner.

I first painted my calipers red.  Have done this with many GM cars with great results.  Flex calipers started peeling immediately.  So.. I got out my wire brush and really roughed everything up, cleaned everything and re-painted.  This time it took a couple months for the peeling to start.  Gave up and bought Red caliper covers.  No fitment issues with my TSW wheels, but haven't tried my ASA's.  Removed when I went to stock wheel at Christmas.  I still have lots of brake dust with my Stop Tech front pads.
