Michelin Pilot Sport AS/3

Just picked these up and had them put on the car last night.  Went to these from the Conti DWS's.  I really like the ride of the Conti's but the AS/3's have a way stiffer sidewall which totally rocks in the corners.  The DWS's were great in a straight line but the softer sidewall made for some drama in the corners occasionally.  I will have to see how the new tires wear but so far they seem like a great choice!

I was in the same boat. Bought new Conti DWS's and switched to the AS/3's within the 30 days for the exact same reason.  I have yet to get my lowering springs, but for the most part there is very very little body roll for being such a big car. First Michilen's I've owned and I will probably stick with them. Have about 1,000 miles on them so far. Also improved my Gas mileage by about 1.2 MPG.

I have about 800 miles on mine and I love them so far.  I can't wait to see how this beast runs in the snow with them though.  That will be the true test.

I have the same issue with the summer versions. I just switched back to my Conti DW's from Pilot Super Sports. The DW's really wander compared to the SS.  Part of it might be rim width and tire profile (DW's 255-45-18 on 8.5" rims) vs (Pilots 235-50-18 on 9" rims).  Pilots hopped occasionally at the strip so DW's seemed stickier.  Have about 28K on Pilots and around the same on DW's.  DW's look to last at least 5K longer though.  Gonna wear them out and get the A/S 3 so I don't have to deal with stock 20" Goodyear RS-A's, which wander even more!  Flex with 65K mi is starting to ride rougher with H & R's.  Thinking Shocks are starting to weaken.  Of course I run 40 lbs air and with temps dropping here in IA, the roads are already starting to heave slightly.
Ride is not an issue in FL!!!

I'm not looking forward to winter here either...our pavement heaves as well and on the highway you get this rythmical up and down that gets so bad at times you think you are on a horse...(Don't go there. :)  )

I know what you mean.  We had a highway west of Lake Geneva that had large bumps on it every 50'.  It was like driving on a washboard.  I used to go 5 miles out of my way not to drive on it.  They are just finishing up the redo.  It's pretty nice now.
