Negative feedback

Can anyone tell me why I keep finding negative articles trashing the SHO? I read complaints about the size-price-handling and also the appearance of the vehicle. Am I missing something here? I can't go anywhere without somebody giving me the thumbs up and with a simple tune can turn there cars into rocket ships! Nobody knows why Ford left so much room for increased horsepower but I know everyone in here won't be complaining. Finally I purchased my car because I didn't want something that everyone else has and I saved $20k by passing on the Audi! Later!

It's not a G8... LOL...

Seriously, Shodded hit the nail on the head... I get many comments on my Flex at the strip... And in parking lots...  While I get as many questions on my G8's.... it's mostly BMW owners LOL!

I see lots of SHO's here in Naples.  I would likely have one except I have 2 G8's and  don't need AWD, as they are Summer only cars.

I am now totally ANTI- GM... They got saved in a sweet UAW deal... but unfortunately Detroit... which will have lots of hurting people... is going down the toilet.  Bankruptcy is a go... Feel sorry for the people hurt... but can't accept the idiocy that got Detroit to where it is.  SELL all that ART!!! Save the people!!!!! Start over and learn from your mistakes!

Ignorance and really retro expectations... AWD maybe, or a maybe problem with image?  I think they just can't handle a large, comfortable car that will perform when asked and let's you have 2 for the price of most comparable imports.

Thats part of it, and I don't think Ford is marketing the SHO as well as they could. As said they left ALOT on the table with this car (see tunes) IMHO if they did just a BIT more tweaking it will be seen as the BMW/Benz killer that it truly is.

I love my '12 SHO and have EVERY intention of staying with a SHO for my next vehicle....

With the exception of our Enclave and my 1990 300ZX Twin Turbo (sold), critics have generally disliked every single car I have bought since 1988.  So maybe I am the cause.  If you think they don't like the SHO and its Taurus roots, see what they have to say about the MKS!  I ignore the negativity because as DJE624 said above:  "Ignorance and lack of actual experience".

The only real negatives on the SHO that I read in auto reviews and I think I read them all, focused on SYNC problems and the lack of quality brakes. Both issues have been resolved by the time the 2013 came off the assembly line with the addition of the performance package. It really is just a very well rounded vehicle that can give 9/10th performance of even the best AWD sedans at a substantial discount.

I did some research in automotive publications before I purchased,  and I really didn't see alot kf negativity. In fact, I see mostly favorable reviews, by the reviewer simply factoring in its savvy performance figures, CONSIDERING its gargantuan size. And yeah, the price. But, let's be honest...they can be had for a bargain.
It's a niche car. Niche cars aren't always adored by automotive snobs...er...journalists.

I don't go by reviews when I purchase my cars. I go with my own experience. Which has been 6 Fords since I bought my first car 16 years ago.  I personally have no issues with the sync or brakes on my 10' SHO. Ford constantly innovates, and everyone else follows. I was in class this morning and we were discussing I beams and box beans, statics class. This kid, I say kid cause I was driving when he was still in diapers, said something about Chevy trucks now have fully boxed frames. To which I replied, "you mean they finally caught up to Ford? Only took 10 years."  To which he said Fords don't have boxed frames. To which I said "so you mean the boxed frame on my 2004 F-150 was a mistake? I saw it every time I crawled under the truck to change the oil."  He said nothing. I also plan on making my next car an SHO as well.

I never go by reviews either especially movie reviews! Lol! But all jk aside they have plenty of negative reviews on these cars for every year trust me on that I stay online and always check out what's new for SHO owners. The more I drive my car the more I love it but I really think Ford gets attacked simply because they are usually on top of the car industry-look at how Chevy loves to put Ford down on their recent truck commercials which is only now using direct injection and VVT which Ford has been using! Thanks for all the responses!
