My name is Ted,

Hello all glad to be here, and a part of this community. I've been in the ecoboost world since early 2013 with my 2011 Ford Flex Titanium. Please someone point me in the right direction as I have hurt my motor last week, and I am in need of either a short block, or long block. Obviously a long block would be best. Again thank you all for allowing me to be a part of this community, and I hope someone can send me in the right direction.

Thank you,

Talk to Keith@Murica Motorsports locally he's built ecoboost engines previously for a 600WHP build.

Welcome to the community, Ted, sorry to hear about the engine issues.  Sad to say, as soon as I read you have a Flex, the first thing that popped into my mind was to warn you about that ...  Most are lost through lost compression, a few through cracked blocks.  I would definitely upgrade the internals on the new block if budget-able, piston rings, rods & all.  But only Livernois has deck plated to date that I am aware of.  That is a really solid upgrade.

Thanks Mike, and SHOdd. I will give him a call shortly. I've had zero issues with the car till it decided to lose 1/2 of the number 2 piston cruising down the freeway. I had the plugs changed at the dealer (pre gapped by me), and 37miles later the thing decided to go. I'm fairly confident that the tech dropped something into the chamber, but they will never admit to it unfortunately. Thank you again.

Sad, sad, sad :(

You can go through this article to see what Livernois basically does for a built block

As far as individual upgrades, Carillo has some offerings:

and

Full Race mostly deals with the F150, not the SHO, but you could talk to them.  Not sure if Black Market Racing is still in the SHO game.

SHOdded building is not an option at this point. I'm 45days out on the finishing of my new home, and have 85% of my funds wrapped up into that at the moment. Just looking for the least expensive way to get the car on the road again.

Lease expensive is car-part.com and then talking to Keith @ Murica or Jeremy @ Black Market Racing here in town for an R&R. Keith has built engines but not swapped them, Jeremy has swapped a few now.
