New LED light tubes/DRLs for your Taurus!

Got them installed today... I really like them!  The video doesn't show the incredible brightness... they compare to the vLED Triton switchbacks I have... How to later, I took the pics...and there are some tricks and tips, believe me! I'm gonna order an option and rewire... more later

Unless you didn't opt for it, the "new" drl lights did not auto dim when you turned on headlights.

Is that how you have it set?
Is the delay when turn signal cancels then DRL comes on normal?

P.S.
I hate you guys for spending my money on these lights lol. I will probably order them and puddle lights. After the group buy downpipes and exhaust mod is complete.

I actually didn't like the dimming... I didn't do it with my Tritons either... Drove to dinner tonight and didn't get flashed, so if that continues I won't dim.  For those who want the feature it's just one wire tap away. The delay happens when I switch directly from one turn signal to the other... guys the Triton controller needed more memory LOL.... and yea, it's always something..... I still need to get the gauges installed in the gauge pod crash built for me.... Wait aren't you the guy who replaced his radio head unit along with half his dash, and added subs..... I want subs!  besides, you can't take it when you go!

I plead ignorance and ALL the ammendments where I dont incriminate myself.

But those lights are waaay cool. I will order soon. The puddle lights, I found on ebay for $25 each I think then bulb were maybe $6 I think. So cost will be about the same. May as well buy em with led already installed.

Thanks... I'll get some pics up on the new puddles. I should have just put them in the video I posted a couple of hours ago.  I have Dan's first gen... the new ones are much brighter...purported 8x OEM.

Honestly you guys are as bad as my ex-wife when it comes to spending my money for me.

Spring is going to be expensive this year.

Got more stuff for the DRLs!

Dan's DRL switchbacks as installed a week ago can be seen in the video about 10 posts back.

And the Engine Off Function Adapter installed today to get OEM turn/parking light function with engine off. Th noises are the door solenoids and me pushing fob buttons.

I'm ignorant ... I recommend you call Dan... use the number on your receipt.... He can tell you.

Bosscav would know, he has a 2010 with these DRLs.  Maybe tap 16 & 25, the L/R Headlamp 20A fuses?  I see relays more commonly used in 2010-12 vs 2013+ ...

I had this issue and Dan got me squared away quickly. I can't remember which one it was I used but it was one of the 4 10amp fuses and it's the only one that is ignition controlled. I think I poseted it in my thread on the install.

Thanks guys , I'm still messing around with the fuses Ive tried to compare fuse #90-92 2013+ to my 2010 and there is nothing as comparable other than the PCM. Ive tried emailing and calling Dan but no answer maybe on vaca, so ill keep messing around.. The lights are in the PCM fuse and are working fine its just they don't turn on with the unlock/lock because the power is hooked up to the ignition On/off (selected fuse slot). I didn't however hook up the auto dimmer don't know if that has to do with it or just the dimming when the headlights are on ?.

Other than that LOVE the lights Huge difference and fairly easy install not much to worry about other than fuses :P , and just a note if you do get them they come with quick splice connects THEY ARE GARBAGE**(don't cut the wire enough for a connection)  just do the old fashion cut splice and soldering

***EDIT***
Guess i should read more and look around more just saw the post about the added addapter for the courtesy light so i guess i'm going to be ordering some more stuff !!

Yes!... I got the adaptor... works like a charm.. retturns all OEM engine off functions just like the turn signals... I did not use the dimmer, and doubt if I will as i haven't been "flashed" by oncoming cars.

Heres some shots of mine.  These things are great!  Install took about 2 hours, but I spent a lot of time making it a clean job, bundling wires and such.  Could probably do it in about 40 minutes if I had to do it again.

Edit:  not sure why the pics are upside down.  iPhone!
