Hey everyone. I recently bought my 2011 Taurus SHO nonPP, Red Candy Metallic. I'm Torrie tuned, 93 Octane 3-Bar.

I'm not new to modding cars or forum lurking/participating. Previous car was a B5 A4, mod list is insignificant so I won't post.

I'm a new engineer at the ol' FoMoCo.

As I have time, I'll start a "build thread" that will progress slowly but steadily. Next up on the mod list is Megan Coilovers and some summer wheels/tires.

Welcome to the community, glad to have you onboard.  Didn't waste any time getting it to mooooove, I see :thumb:

Thanks all for the warm welcome!

After perusing the forum quite a bit, I think there are a few things that I need to tackle before I do moar low and wheels: Possibly BG service, Catch Can/CSS, PTU drain and refill, W/M kit maybe?, and more. I'm not going to pull the trigger on any of those yet until I do more research.

In the mean time, I did this:

It looks absolutely awful up close, the finish of my first Plastidip job is terrible. But, luckily I can peel it off and re-spray, which I will do.

I love the look of the black grille, now I need to do the "chrome" trim around the lower grille, around the doors, and the tail lights. I hate the appearance of chrome, so I'm gonna get rid of all of it.

Looks good!  Not to mention it protects the chrome underneath should you ever decide to reverse the look :)

Haha if anything, I'll pull the grille off and properly body-match the chrome portion and keep the smaller cross bars black.

Looks great on there, love the black grile and gives it a more bold robust statement, great way to start the adventure on your new SHO,best of luck.Z.

I got them installed. The fronts took about 2 minutes, but the rears took quite a bit longer. It's not a hard install, though.

Looks great...
I went about 6000K temp too (matches the blue ambients)... I did not do the vanity flip-up mirrors in deference to my wife...LOL
