New tune revisions for 2013+ Explorer Sport & SHO from LMS

Boost utilization is always calculated.... but even without the 3BAR boost pressure can hit 15 or more.... The 3BAR itself doesn't change peak boost nor necessarily does the tune mod for it... it does allow the engine to use it if it happens because the 3BAR is capable of sensing above the 2BAR and the tune mod allows the ECU to recognize and utilize the boost above the 14.5ish limit of the 2BAR... someone posted a video earlier today of their boost gauge during hard acceleration showing sustained boost of 15psi (sorry, forgot where it is)... hope this helps
 
I had some fun today while coming home from grocery store. The boost is much more consistent now that I fixed my gauge and tapped into the appropriate tube. It was steady at 13lbs; some 15lb spikes.

I wasn't running too hard because most of time I was doing 70; the launches from light are 0-80 and then off; don't need the cops bothering me. I get enough love for being in a black SHO with blacked out windows.

Again, I really like the v8 version.  I've seen spikes in boost from OBDII app (Dashcommand) at 16.2 psi, but this was right at shift.  13-15 psi seems normal on wot.  I have actually started babying my car more now, only cause I worry about hurting the drivetrain.  If I Drive in D instead of S it seems easier on the car, but S is much more fun.  I use this car for a daily driver so I don't want to kill it.  Even though I still may upgrade DP's and CAT back.

Not surprised... with v8, in D, and with all grannies on a WOT launch chirps my tires at start and 1-2 shift every time!
 
OK; anyone notice this?

It seems I really don't boost unless I'm really hammering it.

Just some normal every causal cruising 1/4 throttle and she's sitting at 0 boost (probably good thing)

Found it odd; boost gauge is good. I WOT she pegs 13lbs. Just that in between that I wonder.

That would be how the tune is set up.  The most recent tunes I've been running kicks the boost in heavy at part throttle.  I actually prefer that as the car goes without having to hammer it.  fyi
 
no my V8 tune does exactly what it's supposed to at 1/4 throttle which is accelerate slower. I think you're the only one with a mechanical boost gauge so it's hard to say what boost I'm seeing, but I always have plenty of power when I push the pedal. If Im not mistaken based on the numerous supercharged vechiles I have owend the amount of boos is usually dependant on the amount of throttle given. I don't think anyone is seeing full boost at 1/4 throttle in any boosted vehicles.
 
Like 68…. on v8 even with the 3BAR tweak the BoVs are active… a little touch of the throttle at 30, then at 35 let off and I here PFFFffft…. I believe the turbo mapping has us in boost most of the time and any time throttle is asking for torque. At WOT in mine it's hard to hear over the engine.
 
Yeah it pretty much seems like normal driving is no-boost situation; but when I need power the boost builds. Depending on my throttle request it's either 5lbs or full boost.

Just curious since I can now monitor the boost through the mechanical gauge.
