On the fence about getting a tune - someone talk me into it!

93 should have 4, 4+,4++. I left LMS with 4+ on and found 4++ weirdly better feeling for dd and much quicker.

I think he has a 2014 model so those stages would not apply.  I think his version 8 is very similar to the 4+ that we have on the 2010-2012s.  Actually, it might have some of the characteristics of the 4X when a 3 bar MAP is used.

Ugh.  Still didn't get a chance to drive it as much as I wanted & really open it up.  However, just from driving it around my neighborhood, it feels a lot more responsive.

Stupid question: I have to take my car in the dealer on Tuesday afternoon, just for them to replace the license plate light (the recall).  There's no need to put the stock tune back on it just for this, is there?

I can't imagine why they would do any sort of reflash if you are just going in for the license plate light.  I wouldn't go back to stock if I were you.  I guess there is no harm in doing it but I don't like to do any more reflashes than necessary.

I agree with Bruce but I'll add that I'm lucky to have a fairly good relationship with my dealer and they know I'm running a tune. I remind them when I set up an appointment and ask them if I need to put it back to stock before bringing it in. It doesn't eliminate all the risk, but I do hate to reflash unnecessarily.
