Numbers do seem off.  But how does it Driver. I'm sure it's much faster and all but. Actually Driver. Throttle response. Tip in. Shifting??  All that sort of stuff

Drives good. From a dig it feels slightly faster. 3rd gear and on it's hard to tell -- it's been 3 months since I have had the car.

I'll hit the track in a few weeks and that will prove it.

Im curious about this as well, I was about to post a thread looking for the model number of the Honeywell (Garret) turbo on our cars and stumbled upon Garrett GT1548. Anyone know if that is correct?

I also read somewhere, if this is in fact our turbo, that it uses a T25 housing. T25 turbo's are stock on the 4G63T which is what the 2G DSM's (1995-99 Mitsubishi Eclipse/Eagle Talon) use. Common turbo swaps for them are T28 which is a direct bolt on (similar to T25 but uses a larger compressor for more top-end) or 14B and 16G turbos. As long as they kept the boost limited to 15psi the stock ECU and injectors can adjust to run the setup, anything above 15psi typically would need tuning.

Would be nice to know there are more options for turbo upgrades!

You're not going to be able to use a turbo from another car on ours, not the same mounts unfortunately. We had mine off at the shop right behind Full-Race, the owner and his guys can identify any housing that we could have used and we reviewed trying to use another bolt on turbo. Only way would be to make an adapter for the flanges. :(

Would you happen to have photos or specs of our turbo's flanges? It seems like we have a mystery turbo that we can't find any info about! I'm sure there has to be at least a handful of turbos that we can swap for considering the turbo is made by Garrett!

EDIT: Saw that photo you posted of the exploded EcoBoost engine, seems like the flange is a 3 bolt design.

^^ That seems like it should work if you can confirm dimensions. Now does anyone have the model number or specs for our specific turbo? Would like to compare it to other turbos out there in terms of specifications to figure out what could be used as a mild upgrade.

Guys need to split this topic it has nothing to do with his turbo install

Thanks for that!

Regarding the intake plumbing I've already got a full custom intake system along with hard pipes installed, so I could make minimal connecting changes. As far as space, I don't plan on putting anything drastically different than the OEM turbo's as I'd rather not have to upgrade my fuel system, a pair of T28 or 14B turbos should put out good power while spooling quickly.

Now to figure out OEM turbo specs!

Email info@atpturbo.com they know it quite well. I had it somewhere but no time to look it up.
