Painting brake calipers

So something that bothers me is how the brake calipers are simply so ugly in that nasty gray color from the factory. I was thinking about painting them but wanted some feedback first.

For starters, I'm not interested in the caliper covers out there, so I'll save who was thinking about suggesting those. I don't really want to draw attention to my stock brakes so I'm not looking to paint them anything garish like yellow or red. I was thinking painting them black would make them look nicer without drawing a lot of other attention to them, or maybe a nice silver would be an option. If anyone has suggestions, I'm willing to listen like always.

Before my big brake kit I had mine painted black... It looked good. But the most important this is to clean them Extremely good first and ensure these is absolutely No brake dust or fluid on them... It will flake for sure if not preped real good...

I would go with a high heat matte black caliper paint... They will disappear into the wheels then.

Also is best to take off calipers completely to paint and make sure it's clean and lay down a lot of coats to protect from road wear(rocks and such)

Nope. The shop did when they installed my first art of wheels. They didn't charge me, they said it looked better and felt they needed to do it..
$175 doesn't seem bad at all to have a paint shop paint them..
