Pilot Super Sports

I'm getting new tires tomorrow. I'm deciding between the eagle f1 super cars that I have on now or the pilots. Big price difference. How is the wear in the pilots. The Eagles wore out too fast. Any other tire suggestions?

Thanks

I have the pilot SS as/3's for a year now. Very happy with them. Some things are worth the extra money spent. Great all season tire.

Anyone have the sport A/S3? Those have a 500 wear rating vs 300 on the supersport

I do actually. Great tire! I've only had them in the spring / summer so far so no winter time on them. They grip well and deal with rain easily. Hoping for the same in the snow.

awesome. I'm going with the a/s3. I'm in Florida so I don't have to worry about any snow.

Since you live in Tampa , Fl , as long as you don't deal with road trips up north and snow  , I would recommend the Hankook Ventus Evo V12 .
It's an excellent summer performance tire , does very good in the rain and wears well . They are reasonably priced as well .
My personal choice .
Quite a few other members have them all so.

Decided to go with the A/S3. Had to order them from my dealer. They price matched them to $289.00 per tire. Having them put on Wednesday.

I have the A/S3's as well and love them.  Great all around performance even when pushed hard.  Not as great as true summer tires but this thing was a monster in the record setting snow we had this year.  Great tires and AWD helped keep a smile on my face when driving in all that white crap.  Great control and yet still easy to turn off TC and get some sideways action in when I wanted to.

I'm  guessing you have these tires ..... My brother quoted me $150 for each tire. What is the thread life on these? Sorry OP for hijack .lol just had to ask .
The BF Goodrich comp2 look really good .

Got the A/S3 installed today. Rides a lot better then the eagle f1s. Ended up paying 1150 out the door. Not bad.

Was mounting&balancing&recycle of old tires included in the price at the dealer cause install is not cheap for 20's ?

The EVO V12 Ventus are great tires, had them on my last vehicle, but they were flat out terrifying in heavy rain. I just put on some Toyo Proxes Plus 4 and I'm in love with them. Not only are they made in the US but after a couple hundred miles they're only gripping more and more.

Also I got them for $890 out the door from Belle Tire (245/45/20 OEM tire size) with a 3 year unlimited mile warranty that covers anything done to the tires.

My SHO originally came with Michelin MXM4 or something like that.  Was a good tire, but not great.  Before close to be worn out started making lots of road noise.  Purchased F1's as the price was unbeatable.  Have been a better tire than the OE Michelins.  Have 30K+ miles on them and probably have another 5-10K.  That said I've decided to try the Cooper Zeon RS3.

On the Michelin AS3's.  I have those on my GT500.  I get phenominal traction, 1.8 60fts.  I would highly recommend those for performance use.

I have about 32K on them, and they're at 5/32".  So I'd guestimate another 5-10K.  I do mainly interstate travels.  I got 50K out of the Michelins and they could've gone further but you could tell the ride quality was beginning to suffer.

yes it was. Mounting and recycling included. My dealer was happy to have the tire business.
