Pondering trading my 2011 for a new 2014

So I'm sitting on 82K trouble free miles.  I have a non PP, Triplatinum white with NAV, 20's, heated cooled front seats, heated rears, power roof.  I'm looking at possible trading for a new 2014 Tuxedo black PP, 401, NAV, power roof, and multicontoured seats.  Sticker is $47,075, on the website they reduced it to 43,937.  I think they have more wiggle room, plus Ford has $5500 in rebates.  If I had an Impala I could get an additional $1250.  But since I continue to buy Fords no love for returning clients...WTF?  I'm guessing I'd get ******(no filter?) on trade $15K-18K.  But with $5K down my payment may be below the current note.

My current mods, could easily be swapped on to the new car, DP's, CAI, tune(would have to be retuned for the new strategy code).  Now I did just purchase new tires which are in route, but could be put on for added value? or held for the new car.

Opinions......

I'd say go for it... If they can get price (before trade and Ford incentives) below $40k and include 7 years maintenance and some extended barb warranty.

I did it for $37k about this time last year on a '13... So you should be in a similar position.

You could probably increase the SHO's value by a few thou by putting in ShoBoat's modded Airaid setup instead of the K&N :)

One of the main motivators for me in regards to performance would be the apparent ability to mix in E85 without any fueling mods in the 2013+ MYs.  Be patient in getting the best value for your trade-in.

If I could, I'd hang on to the '11 SHO as well.  Rare cars that they are and all.  But then, I am biased in my love for them.

2015s are hitting the lots  now . Should deal on 14s.

FYI,  I bought my 8 month old 2013 loaded PP with 5500 miles for $30800.  There are some great deals out there if you are patient and don't mind a slightly used car.

Best of my knowledge the 14 sho and 14 mustang the productivity was decreased for 2014 cause knowing the 2015 new body are coming out, especially the 14 SHO with PP,A RARE ICON so jump on it,good luck.

You could buy my 14 with 8k miles with tinted windows
Tinted tails weather tech mats
Corsa exhaust
Livernois 93 tune
Airaide intake
3 bar map
Car has PP and every single option sticker was 46,480
I'd sell with all mods 37k also has the best extended warranty plan out there I can always sell that back so would take 36k

They have a '15 on the lot already, and 2 '14s still there.  I like the grill better on the 11, as it makes it look more upscale.  I also like the older version of touchscreen nav as you can have nav in the split screen unlike MFT which NAV would be a full screen.  Need to go up there and drive it and see if it's a deal I want to make.

Thanks for the replies.

I've used the navi once, can't recall if you can go into the 4 split screen when navigating.

The addition of the LED tails, remote start, power heated steering wheel, and new gauges are worth it alone. I also like the new black headliner.

Invoice on that car is 43,402... go 43,900 on your offer, subtract the 5500 in rebates, puts you around 38,400 for a target price.  My local high volume Ford dealer will go invoice +500 all day with almost no negotiation.  Not a bad price to be honest.

I went the used route though, picked up a CPO 2013 back in Feb with 18K on the clock for 28.5K.  Hell of a value IMO.  I checked cargurus though and don't see any good used values in Louisiana right now.  Pensacola has a decent looking example, but that's a bit far to drive.

I traded my 11 in on a 13 last year, well worth it for the extra cooling (trans etc.) and better brakes IMO. Plus the 11 didn't have navigation and MFT which I really wanted.

FWIW Ford sent me a 500 dollar customer loyalty coupon to go toward the purchase of a new vehicle a month or 2 after I paid off the 11.

The brakes really are a big improvement... starting with '13 there was 60% more swept area than "12 and down.

Can you keep the '11 and make it a "balls to the wall' car?

Always a possibility to send it to Livernois and go all out.  Not sure if I would really do that, though.  My GT500 is still stock, not even a tune.  Still trying to figure out a route to go with that car.
