Power sun shade

I thought I saw a thread on this subject, but I can't find it again. 13 SHO PP the rear power sun shade is stuck in the up position. Before that, it was kind of jicky about working. It would go halfway, stop, and I'd have to push the button a couple times to get it fully extended. When I first saw it, I knew it looked a little flimsy, but it's a nice feature. Any thoughts? Motor replacement? Thanks guys

My pleasure,BTW on TOP of the shout box there is a [search forum]tool just type in what your looking for and it will narrow down the results and revise your search.  Z

I think people are not finding stuff because there are actually 2 searches.  Z, the one you refer to is context sensitive, so it works for the forum you are currently viewing, in this case, GENERAL DISCUSSION. 

To search across EBPF, you have to be at the parent forum level i.e. http://www.ecoboostperformanceforum.com/index.php?action=forum  OR select SEARCH from the topmost menu bar

I know there have been some issues with the gear stripping inside the motor.
The motor only engages half of the teeth, you can flip the gear over and use the good side if this is your issue.
I'll try to find the post I saw somewhere.

My mom had the one in her BMW fail and it was 900$ to fix.  So when I found out my SHO had it I said "oh, cool" make sure it worked, haven't touched it since.  Doesn't really do anything substantial anyway.  I would have much rather had pull up ones in the doors for the side windows.
